When dropping off donations make sure you're there well before they close. Even though they say they are open and accept drop offs until 5 they don't. Last time I went I pulled up at 4:45 and they had already closed down and blocked off the donations area. The last time I actually did drop off donations (first time dropping off at this location) the employees in that area were rude, and only spoke when spoken to. No one came out to help me unload them (and I had a lot) I walked up to the door just to have them stare at me until I asked where they would like me to put my donations. One of the employees said over there while pointing in the general direction with a rude and very annoyed tone of voice. Still no one came out to help me unload it. Then I stood next to the door thinking someone would probably just give me some type of slip for taxes when I was done. Nope, I asked them if I could please have a donations slip or something to show what I donated. Another employee just points to a pedestal but says nothing. I asked on my way to it if they needed to sign it or anything. One of the employees says no with the same attitude. I said I'm sorry I wasn't sure how it worked because this is my first time dropping off here. No one said anything. I filled out the sheet, said thank you for your help and left. The only reason I went back this last time was because it's convenient and it was closed, but the store was still open. I can't even say it's convenient anymore. I think I'll go out of my way to donate somewhere else. I'd hate to annoy your employees again for having to do their job. I won't be back!! Have a...
Read moreThe Salvation Army Thrift Store in Jackson, Ga. Is a favorite shopping experience for me and my Dad. Every Wednesday we visit as the store has buy one get one free for seniors 55 and older on most clothing items. There are other discounts given for certain color tagged clothing and bric a brac items as well. Located right behind the Pizza Hut and across from the Jackson water tower, the store is run by friendly staff. I love shopping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store also because it's a great way to save money and support your local chapter. Salvation Army lives up to their name and is doing a wonderful job of helping the community. Check online for hours. Or just swing by Monday through Saturday and find out for yourself a fun shopping experience... I gave it 4 🌟s as it could only be better if you bring your gently used clothing and goods and also your family...
Read moreThis is the most expensive S.A !! The prices are more than retail prices! The only reason I put a star is because of the gospel music that plays inside. The lady that supposedly manages this place has no compassion & half the money most likely goes home with her. I don't know anyone that has got any help from them & if the donation are not up to her standards the dump gets them! If I knew where to report all this I would have already. Try the other S.A before going here this place is insane!! If no one buys she will soon...
