I have never left a salon more disappointed in my life. I came to this establishment for the first time and brought my mother as well for a simple layered trim and specifically described and well as showed pictures of what I wanted. My hair is very long and is pasted my hips. I specifically stated I do not want the ends touched just layers however the middle of my hair was cut leaving the sides much longer than the center causing a very unflattering shape and no ability to fix the cut i was given without cutting off more than 6inches more off of my hair. I left here in tears. My mother has absolutely no shape to her hair and we now have to visit an entirely new salon to salvage this situation. This is absolutely not what I was expecting especially after reading the reviews. If any stylist is unable to do mixed/curly hair in simple layers it should be stated before any cutting is done. My hair is absolutely ruined as a result of this visit which was intended to be for my birthdaytruly regret visiting this salon and I have never received a haircut like this in my entire life. Both myself ad well as my mother left extremely displeased with the service we received and came in much more confidently...

She took her time with doing my hair and I was there all day I told her exactly what I wanted and showed her a picture of the color I wanted and she told me no problem she's done it before. Well she did not do anything I asked she bleached the bottom parts of my hair and never died my roots like I asked she left those my natural color then she put toner in the bleached parts but instead of the color I wanted in it she put purple so I ended up with purple hair I was also supposed to get styled and cut but since she took her time and kept stopping to talk and joke with other employees and they were close to closing and I had had pick up my kids I had to leave then after my hair dried and I saw it was purple they did not offer to fix if I wanted it a different color I had to pay her to fix what she messed up and they would not give me a refund. If you are getting your hair cut or styled I would recommend but I would not go to get your...

I’m a little late with this review.. #momlifešŸ˜…, but a few weeks ago I had a cut/style appt with Katie ā€œGā€, and she was absolutely phenomenal!! Before my appt with Katie I was desperate for a cut due to my hair being neglected for nearly a year after having my son. I ended up going to a chain salon just to have a few inches taken off and to touch up layers, well long story short, when I got home that day I looked at the back of my hair once it had dried and I had a shelf layer. My hair is thick, wavy/curly, so it stood out like a sore thumb and was so disappointing. Katie worked her magic though and I can’t thank her enough!!! I’ve been able to wear my hair down again without being self conscious and that’s a HUGE deal for me. I go back next Friday for a balayage and I...

Can you see the band?? It’s so subtle, but it is definitely there. Did you know that after childbirth, some women notice a darker band of hair growth. This phenomenon is primarily due to hormonal changes that occur during and after pregnancy. During pregnancy, the body experiences elevated levels of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which can affect hair growth and pigmentation. Here’s a closer look at why this happens: 1. **Hormonal Fluctuations**: Pregnancy induces significant hormonal changes. Elevated estrogen levels prolong the growth phase (anagen phase) of hair, often leading to thicker and more abundant hair. After childbirth, hormone levels drop rapidly, which can trigger a variety of changes in the body, including hair pigmentation. 2. **Melanin Production**: Melanin is the pigment responsible for the color of your hair. Hormonal shifts can influence melanin production, sometimes leading to a darker pigment in the hair that grows after childbirth. This can create a noticeable band of darker hair. 3. **Stress and Hair Growth Cycles**: The physical and emotional stress of childbirth can also impact hair growth cycles. Some women experience telogen effluvium, a condition where hair prematurely enters the resting phase and sheds. When hair regrowth resumes, the new hair might appear darker due to changes in melanin production. 4. **Nutritional Changes**: Postpartum nutritional changes can also affect hair health and color. Deficiencies or an improved diet can impact melanin levels, potentially leading to a darker band of new hair growth. In summary, the darker band of hair observed after childbirth is typically due to the hormonal fluctuations and changes in melanin production during and after pregnancy. While this change is usually temporary, it’s a fascinating example of how pregnancy can affect the body in unexpected ways.
