An amazing two days in Yellowstone and Grand Teton! If you want a terrific experience of these two unbelievable parks you can stop looking now. Taylor and his crew are first-rate. From our first inquiry (where Taylor walked us through trip options and helped us really customize our tour) to meeting our guide Mike Vanian (incredible guide) to the tour itself it was a great experience. My wife, 13-year old daughter and I chose a two-day tour and I'd highly recommend it. I can't imagine doing anything less than that. We saw nearly all the wildlife you would dream of seeing (black bear, grizzly with two cubs, bison herds, elk, pronghorn, and so many more). Mike knew so much about not just the mammals but the incredible geological features, plants, birds and history. Just driving around in the Expedition was a fantastic experience (and I felt sorry for all the people jammed into buses or worse transportation - which was about everyone else we saw). Even seeing everything we did we still just scratched the surface. These parks are huge. Each morning we were greeted with french press coffee (we would also enjoy some each afternoon). Mike also had some great secret spots away from the crowds for our two picnic lunches. There was an iPad and notebook for keeping track of all the wildlife we saw - these kept my 13-year old engaged the entire trip (not an easy task!) These touches really helped make the tour a super experience for all 3 of us. One other thing worth mentioning: even the locals really admire the folks at Eco Tours. At one nature stop we were watching an area where Mike knew there was a wolf den. One of the folks who camps out at this spot all day to watch wolves came up to us and asked if we were on an Eco Tour trip. She then whispered that a hiker had scared off the wolves earlier in the day and that the mother had crossed the road with two of her pups. She said she'd only tell us about it because we were with Eco Tours and that it was the only tour company she respected. It gave us a shot at seeing the wolves (alas it was mid-day and they were too well hidden). But I thought that was one of the best recommendations I could hear. I just can't recommend Eco Tours, Taylor and Mike highly enough. They care so deeply about these ecosystems and are so incredibly knowledgable. Do you and your family a favor and just book the trip. You won't regret it!

I was debating between a wildlife viewing tour or a snowshoeing tour, as both sounded equally amazing. While I would have loved to do both. I ultimately chose the 4-hour snowshoeing tour—and I’m so glad I did! Though I started with the shorter tour, I now feel completely comfortable recommending anyone, even first-timers, to dive straight into their 8-hour tours. The way the guides professionally and attentively take care of every detail ensures that you’ll have an exceptional and comfortable experience, no matter the length of the tour. This tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Jackson, especially if you’re not yet comfortable diving into skiing or snowboarding lessons at JHMR in Teton Village or Snow King Resort. Even if you are planning to take on those sports, I’d recommend starting with this tour first. It’s a fantastic way to get comfortable with the cold weather, being around snow, and appreciating the beauty of the region at a more leisurely pace. The guides are phenomenal! Jeff, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and so passionate about the wildlife and winter ecology of the area. He made the experience engaging, fun, and deeply enriching. What stood out even more was how attentive and humble the guides are—they go above and beyond to ensure your comfort, offering snacks, warm beverages, and constant check-ins to make sure you’re enjoying the experience to the fullest. The snowshoeing tour itself was breathtaking. It felt like stepping into a winter wonderland, and the pace was perfect for taking in the scenery, learning from the guide, and snapping photos. The entire experience felt personal and catered to our group, with every detail thoughtfully planned to make sure we were having the best time possible. If you’re visiting Jackson, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures. Whether you’re looking for an introduction to winter activities or just a unique way to connect with nature, this is the perfect experience. I know I’ll be recommending it to anyone visiting, and when I can afford it next, I’ll definitely be back to try their wildlife viewing tour!

We brought our oldest grandchild and his buddy to Jackson, Wyoming from Gainesville, GA. We asked our grandson to pick where in the U.S. he would like us to take him and he picked here! While visiting, I was able to book a private wildlife tour with EcoTours through Trip Advisor. Ryan was our fabulous guide who picked us up at our front door with a fantastic disposition and a very clean vehicle. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable about the JH area and so many animals but what was more impressive was his respect for the parks, the ecosystems, the animals…EVERYTHING. I highly recommend requesting Ryan. We opted for the early bird time slot which did not disappoint. We saw fox, elk, an enormous herd of bison, pronghorns, mule deer, sandhill cranes, mountain bluebirds, badgers and even heard a native grouse doing its mating call. Of course we wish we had seen bear or moose’s but our trip was so incredible we didn’t miss a beat. The vehicle is equipped with a snack/coffee/juice bar in the back and Ryan graciously served us snacks, coffee and juice along with a complimentary water bottle. As we approached the highest Grand Teton point along our drive we even saw a wedding taking place. The binoculars that are provided for the tour are Swarovski Optiks (they are partnered with them) and you have an opportunity to purchase them at a discounted rate. I absolutely took advantage of this offer and look forward to taking them on our African Micato Tour in two months. This outfit is outstanding in every way. I highly recommend them. Let me just say one more time, I highly recommend them!

Wildlife tour Sep '24 with Laura as our guide. Where to begin? Our tour exceeded every expectation we had. Laura, our guide, did an amazing job of taking us off the beaten path to get a wide range of experiences. We saw herds of bison, groups of pronghorn, elk, otters, an eagle, and even a coyote chasing (and catching, we believe) a deer across a field. One could expect to see these things on a "wildlife tour," of course, but it was everything else that really made this day memorable. Laura is the O.G. at Eco Tours, and her knowledge and experience was, frankly, incredible. The day was filled with stories and information spanning all of the "ologies" - biology, ecology, geology, ornithology, etymology - as well as history of the geography and figures central to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and past and current conservation efforts. Everywhere we turned she had another factoid about the land, why a certain tree grew somewhere, what people used this or that plant for, why bears are found on one face of a hill while elk are on the other, how to tell one hawk from another, etc. She was funny, personable, and informative. I strongly suggest taking her up on the option to get out of the car and walk a little. We spent much of the day driving to areas away from the typical tourist spots and taking short little hikes (maybe 0.5 mile) until we found ourselves in the middle of nature without another human in sight. I feel so lucky to have met and spent time with Laura, and if we ever make it out there again she will be the first person to whom I reach out. I'm sure their other guides are great - the reviews speak for themselves - but our day with Laura was the gleaming highlight of an already spectacular vacation. I cannot recommend her...
