I recently visited the Staples for the Idemia Pre-Check center at 4016 S 3rd St, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, and my experience was extremely upsetting.
Despite having a scheduled appointment for 9:00 AM and arriving just 5 minutes late, the employee, Edgar, informed me that I would need to wait until ALL appointments were completed before being seen... yet then he continued to assist walk-in customers ahead of me. How do I know this? I got there at 9:05AM, and my fiance was scheduled at 9:10, and so this happened during a time when no other scheduled appointments could possibly been ahead of mine, as my fiancƩ's was running late.
Furthermore, Edgar's demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional, adding to the frustration. The growing line of customers, none of whom had appointments before 9:20 AM, highlighted the mismanagement of their schedule.
To compound the issue, my fiancƩ and I had appointments the previous day, but upon arrival, we were told that the center was closed due to Columbus Day, despite our appointments being scheduled for that day. So coming in the next day was an even worse experience.
We won't ever be returning to this Staples to give them our business, and you shouldn't either.
I hope that management addresses these concerns to ensure better service for the dwindling future customers...

They have one line overworked person multitasking 3 peopleās jobs, and cut corners in every imaginable way that was unheard of 10 years ago. Anyone over 30 knows what Iām talking about. Caveat: I have a 401k and itās going up. So if I happen to own Staples stock in a mutual fund then I guess it might be worth it to me personally.
But hereās what they did right. They hired amazing employees. Not kidding. Despite having to do the jobs of 3-4 employees all by themselves, they still try very hard and take a lot of responsibility. I wish I knew all their names. James? Matthew. Stephanie? A newer woman who was training with the other in the print shop. At least 4 of them worked very hard to get an unusual order done and in time and were unbelievably nice about it. I really appreciate them all.
Now if we could just get these corporations to stop torturing everyone, employees and customers alike⦠people arenāt made to multitask and keep it up all day. You try it. You think itās increasing productivity. Read the science. Itās not. Just please stop ā all of you running the companies and paying your CEOs $10,000,000 a year. relocated from PA last year and was heavily reliant on Staples Tech Support for all our computer needs. Was called today and reminder to renew expiring anti-virus protection. Went to this tech support and Evan was able to provide us what we needed for this computer plus and additional computer purchased since.
