I was really enjoying Nekter. They have been my to go lunch place. I enjoy the housemade cashew milk. The parfaits, bowls , smoothies and juices were a great healthy choice for lunch.
Yet this past week discouraged me from continuing to order from this location. Not sure if the other locations are the same but the parfait I ordered was so hard I thought there were rocks in place of granola. Not sure if it was prepared beforehand and left out too long but what really discouraged me from returning was the gentleman taking orders at the cash register. He was wearing gloves meant for prepping food and not once changed his gloves as he multitasked between taking cash orders and then prepping and grabbing fruits to cut while wearing the same gloves. Read moreThis was my favorite juice/ smoothie spot in Atlanta. The midtown location is great. Walked into the Jacksonville location for the first time high hopes and was disappointed. No one said a word when I walked in. Two employees were making an order. I stood at the counter for a few mins, made eye contact with BOTH employees and neither said a PEEP. One of them was done making her part of the order, saw me, and the two just continued to chat with each other. The atmosphere was very blah and honestly, waking into a place of business prepared to spend your money just to be ignored is extremely off putting. Read moreThe bowls and juices are delicious, but I have had several times where I have placed an order for pick up on my way to work and when I arrive no one is up front and my ticket is still sitting on the printer. The usual response from the employee is "okay, well it looks like your order just printed so it'll be ready in a minute." The first time this happened I was understandable and patient, but the second, third, and fourth time this happened I was less than understanding and patient. The point of ordering ahead is so you don't have to wait when you arrive to pick up your stuff.
