Please read before you go to the ER!!! Do NOT come here. My mother and I spent almost 5 hours hear when it was late at night and they were not busy (but that doesnāt mean they werenāt understaffed so take that with a grain of salt). My mother was doubled over in pain for at least 4 hours and I asked the nonchalant front desk lady 3 times if she could at least lay down while she waited and she showed no interest in trying to actually doing something. She just ate and was laughing on the phone. She wasnāt rude but she also didnāt care. Some of the reviews said that after the long wait, they at least got good service by the doctors and nurses. The nurse who took the blood pressure (short white girl with long brown hair and glasses), snapped at a patient in a wheelchair when he politely asked how much longer the wait was going to be. As someone who spent their childhood in hospitals constantly, the doctor that was assigned to us was the worst doctor I had ever seen and heard. His name was Doctor Andrew Scott Vihlen. Short white man with a buzz cut and a terrible attitude. If you get assigned to him, I recommend asking for a different doctor immediately. This man came in, did not apologize for the wait, did not ask how we were, scratched his behind RIGHT in front of me, and said that doing test scans to see what was wrong with my mom would be a waste of our money. This man literally came in and spoke to my mom for two minutes, without a shred of compassion. My mother is a perfectly healthy woman, and she randomly started having pain, she was in so much pain that her voice was shaking as she spoke. And I am so happy that I went with my mom to the ER, because God knows how she wouldāve been treated if I had not been present to stand up for her. Instead of trying to do anything to at least attempt to treat my mother, he just prescribed her drugs as if thatās all we were there for. My mother hates taking strong medication because it makes her drowsy and if I hadnāt said anything that wouldāve been the end of it. And itās crazy to me how we can wait in the ER for four hours, but then our appointment last two minutes. So if that were the case for other patients why is the wait time so long? Is he treating us differently? Is he just a horrible Doctor Who hates his job or was he being discriminatory because my mom and I are both black? I am not sure. The only nice thing about this appointment was the nurse who came at the end. I wish I had gotten her name. She was tall, white, medium length brown hair, and she had black tattoos on her arms. She was the only person who was kind to apologize for the inconvenience and who seem to care that we were at the hospital at three in the morning. This experience was so horrific that Iām considering posting on social media just how terrible this was. I will truly never step foot back into the hospital. And the only reason that I held my tongue without asking for a manager or a different doctor is because my mom was afraid that the doctor would tamper with her medication simply because of how nasty that man was. My mother should not feel fear from a medical professional. If he does not like that job, he should get another one because he does not deserve to make patients who are in agonizing pain feel the way...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst - I was lied to by the sales rep. who sold me a bill of lies in order to get me to switch from Humana, to Ascentions.
Second - I needed to use my coverage to replace a missing tooth. Every dentist that Ascentions recommended for me were either no longer in the network, or couldnāt to the needed work. In fact one place that Ascentions recommended at Regency, took an x-ray of my mouth without placing a bib, (apron) over my chest to protect me. When I asked her for one before she got started, she told me that she didnāt know where it was.
Third - When I found a dentist office that claimed that they accepted my insurance, they gave me an appointment date. When I came at the appointed time, they told me that Ascentions, refused to cover me for the producer. Then they charged my account for a pair of dentures, (that I never asked for) that I never received. Eventually they reimbursed my account.
Fourth - I was denied by you because the dentistry did not send you the proper work. When they did meet your requirements it set on your desk until the new enrollment period, and then your requirements changed.
Fifth - I came back to the dentistry to try it again, and they took $300.00 from my flex card for some reason, and gave me an appointment date. When I came in, I was told that I was denied by you for coverage. I called you, and spoke to Stephany, who got someone else on the same line, along with the dentistry, and found out that the reason you denied me was because the dentistry sent you the wrong x-rays to you. They also told me that I had to pay $1,000.00 co-pay. I asked them if I had $5,000.00 dollars worth of dental coverage that I hadnāt even touched yet, then why would I have to pay $1,000.00 out of pocket?
After getting that resolved, I was told that I would now be covered. This was confirmed by two separate calls from Ascentions, and one from the dentistry, and was given another appointment date for this coming Tuesday at 2:00.
Fifth - Today the dentistry called me if I wanted to make an appointment. Even though this was strange because they already gave me an appointment, but I played along with it hoping that they would say that I could come in sometime today 9/1/23.
They had no record of me coming in for an appointment for Tuesday, so they called me back and told me that I could come in today. I agreed. About a half hour later they called me again and said that I would have to pay, $1,000.00 co-pay. I told them no I donāt and that they should call and use the pre-authorization number that I gave them.
Several hours later the dentistry called me and said I have an appointment with them as if this was the first time they spoke to me.

Ultimately, and long story short I was told that Iād have to pay $1,000.000 up front before I could use my $5,000.000 dental benefits to get my work done. Iāve decided that enough was enough so it is my decision to never go back to that dentistry again, and to drop Ascension during the new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo whom may may concern. I was a patient in the hospital at Riverside/Shircliff Road early Sunday morning on August 16 th. I was having spastic contractions in my stomach and I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Alex Mathai Was the attending physician I must tell you that I never had a doctor treat me as horrible as he did. I donāt know if he was tired or what have you, but if you are in a position such as a doctor or nurse in a hospital where you care for patients, no matter what is going on, you should have at least a decent bedside manner. this doctor was very mean and rude to me. I keenly remember when the ambulance brought me into the emergency room, we stopped by the nurses station. I saw a man there and he looked at me with discussed. Too bad for me about an hour later he comes into the room and he is the doctor. I was in a lot of excruciating pain and he wanted me to turn over to do an EKG. I was not able to do so because of the pain. He tried to force me to lay back and I moved his hand and he said to me ādonāt put your hands on meā. Then he continues to say if you wonāt turn over weāll just wait until youāre ready to do something. You just let me know because you arenāt ready to do your testing and walked out. It was the worst type of service Iāve ever gotten at the hospital. To top it off, Ashli, the nurse on call was just as rude. It was 3 AM so maybe that has something to do with it but again if youāre in that type of car capacity you should have a caring heart. She did pretty much the same as he did. I kept asking her for things that she never would get. I asked for a pillow seven times. She finally went and got one she said they were sparse. Really? I asked if she could ask the doctor for pain meds for me because I was in so much pain to the point that I passed out twice. She said I canāt take it until I have my testing. I understood that but it was just the way she said it. I never got any relief regarding my pain until the next shift came in. 7 AM!! Dr. Lucy and Greg!? The best staff of your hospital. They are the reasons that I continue to utilize this hospital. Superior service excellent bedside manner for both. Greg was very caring concerned about my issues and my pain and assisted me effortlessly. The same with Dr. Lucy.
Iām just wanting you guys to know whatās going on at your hospital and so maybe you can fix it and handle it accordingly. Thank you for taking the time out...
