Funnel Cake Spot — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I really wish this small business all of the success. The guy who made us the super delecious Funnel cakes represents a new fresh young generation, good kids, who chose to earn their living by the sweat of their brows. He and young beautiful young men and ladies, like him, can chose other ways to make money(i.e. easy, dangerous, reckless, or irresponsible) but he did not. He chose this creative , artistic way that required him to work hard and present something decent and wonderful to our community. I salute every sweat droplet from that forehead. The funnelcakes were awesome. Me and my husband sat there in his place and we watched him working and making those funnel cakes while feeling proud of that young working guy who presented us with a plate from heaven. We, as members of this community, have a responsibility of supporting small businesses like this where good kids, like this guy, strive to make their own way in life choosing the good ways which often are really hard at this time. If you are reading this review, please go there, be a regular customer and support that small business. If you were the owner of this business, thank you and please keep employing more young good people, provide them with the support and acknowledgement that they need because they deserve it, you deserve it, we deserve it. Don't bother! There are several other places in Jacksonville that would rather have your business. We bought 2 large speciality funnel cakes to go. 1 butterfinger and 1 turtle. My first tip should have been how quickly it was put in the bag and tied up. No matter. Waited for the rest of our order of 2 chilli cheese fries. Average btw. Not impressive but not horrible by any means. She scoops up the ice cream and puts fries in the boxes hands me the bags to go. As I'm leaving notices she forgot to hand me the ice cream I paid 1$ extra to have boxed seprately. No worries I kindly thank her. We excitedly drive home anxiously awaiting our funnel cakes only to get home and not one but both of them are crispy hard. They are completely inedible. Ok as disappointing as it is we save the funnel cakes, try calling no answer. Call again next couple of days same thing. Mail box is full. Send a message through their email with no response. I ordered an Almond Joy funnel cake and was really looking forward to the coconuts but they seem to have decided not to join the party. After a 1 mile drive my ice cream was just barely a dollop and I feel sorry for anyone traveling more than 4 minutes. My friend asked for a coney dog add slaw and received a hot dog with chili and cheese.

The attitude from the co-owner/husband was enough to warrant this review from a fellow BLACK, WOMAN, VETERAN. The entire experience was unwarranted really.

Funnel cake was soft where it wasn’t mushy from whatever ice cream. I’ll admit I could’ve checked for order accuracy, but after the entire exchange we were eager to not be around that energy.

I don’t care that Duval is the murder capital of the country, or the things that you “make/tell” your to wife do regarding y’all’s business.

I do care about order accuracy and general ambiance though.
