Grounds of Grace — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I got a latte with almond milk and honey as the syrup. I also asked for cinnamon to be added on top, which they said they can do, but when I asked for it to be extra hot they said their lattes are known to be very hot already that they sometimes cool them down from being so hot. So I told barista that would be okay to not make it extra hot then.

Overall my latte wasn’t that hot and the flavor and quality was lacking. I’m not sure if it’s because I chose honey as my syrup but I wasn’t impressed. It was disappointing because I follow on their socials and all the drinks look really good and I love how it’s a Christian coffee shop with Bible verses on the cups.

I went 15 mins before closing so I couldn’t stay long but I was able to sit on the couch and have my 1 year old play with the toys they provide before leaving 5 mins before closing. I love how the vibe is meant for families. I can see myself enjoying nice conversations while my daughter plays there. I just wish the coffee was up to par. I may try them out again in hopes getting another flavor would...

Nice cozy coffee shop. Saw it recommended among many social media sites. It wasn’t crowded but had a little buzz. Multiple seating options from bar stools to couches. Reading materials around. I went alone but seems a good place for a small group to relax and enjoy coffee convo. Clean and smelled delicious. The staff was very friendly and explained menu options as needed. I used the time to fill out some cards and it was nice to sit at the window seating. The parking is plentiful bc you don’t expect large crowds otherwise it would be a tiny bit hard to park. I had their coffee from the bus before and enjoyed the experience so I was happy to visit their brick and mortar. It was plenty variety for coffee, espresso, latte and different flavors along with some bakery options without the overwhelm of odd names and concoctions. Simply caffeinated beverages with the fixings. Clean bathroom with changing space. My videos wouldn’t load for coffee experience but it was great anyway! I have visited this shop on numerous occasions and I'm always met with a positive experience from K.C. one of the baristas there, dare I say my favorite. I don't typically leave reviews but I want to highlight how exceptional this young woman is. I saw a review noting that she had an attitude on Friday and handed out a scorching hot drink. Everytime I have seen this young woman hand out a drink or set it on the counter, she always warns the patron that it is extremely hot and that they should be careful. She makes sure that everyone she encounters has a positive experience even if she's swamped with orders while working alone. To see someone willing to go out of their way like that to try and paint her in a negative light is unacceptable and they should be ashamed of themselves. Keep up the good work K.C. and I hope to continue seeing you, as you are a prime example of excellency as a barista.
