Called my mother the n word, kept cutting when she specified she just wanted a trim, was late by a hour both days, took atleast 5 hours more than she was told, talked about inappropriate topics like pedapholia, and tried to charge her double than agreed on.
My mom went in for a Japanese blowout was in there for 4 hours the first day. The stylist was late by a hour. She was gave the run down, got some of the treatment paid half the $700 after the first day.
She came back today the stylist was late by a hour again. She told the stylist not to cut her hair only trim. The stylist struggled with english which wasn't a issue for my mom. but the stylist did continue to cut my mom's hair 2 or 3 times after she kept saying not to. My mom got up explained to another employee she didnt want her to cut her hair and they seemed to translate that to her. The stylist brought her to the bowl for a wash, when she was done and at the chair my mom realized her hair was uneven she asked. The stylist said it was breakage but another employee said that the stylist took scissors and cut her hair at the bowl.
She asked how long the appointment was going to take because it was already 2 or 3 hours passed the original time she had said. The stylist said a hour. Flatironed her hair my mom thought they were done but the stylist said that she has to do the rest of the treatment, this being 15 minutes left from the hour she said. So she asked how much time it'll be left and was told 2 to 3 hours. she was took back to the bowl rinsed. Then back to blow drying.
The stylists next client came in. The stylist was only partially done said that her hair was too hard to dry so she sat her at the dryer and she started her next client. After 20 minutes at the dryer. She gave her other client to someone else for a wash. She continued to blow dry my mom's hair. Her other client was done at the bowl. and she said that my mom was done. My mom didnt have her hair flatironed or finished drying and asked. The stylist said it would be a upcharge and it wasnt part of the process, even though she told my mom it was the last step. Another employee chimed in saying not to bully the stylist just because she doesn't speak English well. This is not at all what was happening. My mom explained she just was wanting the rest of the process done. And then another employee said, this is just what n-words do. after a little back and forth my mom decided just to pay and leave.
While being checked out they said that the total is $1100. My mom told them it was only $700 and that she paid half the day before. More back and forth then the employee that told her about the scissors at the bowl told the others they saw my mom pay yesterday. So they said fine we will give you a "discount" to $700.
My mom left with unfinished damp hair, was insulted for no reason, and they tried to scam her. I hope this place gets shut down. Thank you to the one that helped out my mom i wish you nothing but happiness and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRUN!!!!!!!! My hair was destroyed after receiving ātreatmentā from an employee at this salon named kuan and management has made no attempt in reconciliation for the damage that she did to my hair nor the disrespect I received from her.
(I made this post after my appointment with Kuan but somehow š Google put it under review, so I am reposting it.)
I went in for a touch up on my Japanese straight perm I got in Japan, and her treatment absolutely fried the top of my hair. I can only assume the product was left in too long with her multiple breaks she took while the solution sat in my hair!! (idk what she did outside but every time she left me it was for a long time and she came back smelling bad like smoke) she even left me once for what seemed to be about 25 minutes and got food then brought to to the back to eat it I guess since she was there for maybe another 10 more minutes. Of course I am not a professional and donāt claim to be so I didnāt know what she was doing was frying my hair minute by minute.
I realized how bad it was when I got home and got a good look in the mirror. When I asked her for help because after what she did, my hair looked and felt like straw at the top, she called me a liar and said that my hair felt and looked like that when I came in. Yes I had breakage at the bottom (but it didnāt feel dry) but that can be cut, the damage she did to my hair is at the top, the entire crown of my head and front sides of my hair. (Even if my hair was too damaged for this treatment, isnāt part of what a professional does is assess the hair and decide what is good and whatās not for the hair? I made the mistake of trusting that she would make the judgments of a professional) Then she even tried to scare me into giving her money saying she had to use product on my hair (which she put in without asking and it didnāt even help. And she said the damage was from my first perm but thatās a lie as you can see from my profile picture, it was taken 2 months after my straight perm in Japan (as you can see I was still in Asia, visiting Busan Korea before coming back to the states)
I am so depressed. Iāve been crying for days, thereās nothing I can do to hide the hair. (3 months later and still every single time I see my hair and feel it, it hurts my heart, literally hurts my chest) Also my scalp is hurting and tender from her not only chemically burning my hair, but also my scalp. I want my money back. I have had to spend so much already on products to try and correct what she did to me.
-The pictures with the red writing are before the disaster and the same day after I left Deja Vu āsalonā The pictures with the white writing are before the disaster and 3 months after (present day) showing how awful all around my hair is after what kuan did to my hair)
(Update!!! 5/07/24 She is still coming at me with lies and accusations over text about it, even attacking my faith. The screen shot is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReply back to āSofie Sophieā . Sofie, you have made many last mins haircut appts cancellations every 6 months every yr for 3 yrs since 2019!!!. I should not still take you wt all. Here are things you should know 1)Getting haircut, of course hair is everywhere apparently for ASIAN CUT and especially from 3 yrs. 2) Kuan has called you a few times to go to shampoo bowl but you kept looking yourself in the mirror. The lady told you not to order you. 3) Turn the chair around was easier to check the cut n to reach the blow dryer. It is very very very common in the salons but it turned into complaints from you??? š¤š«£ I definitely hand you a portable mirror if you ask me . This is part of a real good custom services . Lol 4) Kuan said ā did anyone tell you not to talk to your stylist when you are getting your bangs trim? ā NOT AS YOU SAIDā do not talk to your stylist .ā You kept talking , hair in you mouth and also distracting me . A good haircut is my priority. 5) Kuan doesn't accept card since 2020. Zelle and apple pay is very common nowadays. She has told you accept card that time after she knew you only had credit card for the payment. But you said ā you can call your sister pay from zelle. 6) A real jerk actually acts nice in front n talk bad behind the person like you did the review was unreasonable .
You need to listen and hear clearly , do not give ppl bad review by your misunderstanding , no experience, knowing nothing, and not follow your way. The bad review about Kuan was not true , unreasonable n unacceptable . none of those were related you got a good haircut ! and with your big deal 28% tips. Oh!...
