This was my first time going to this salon. It was clean. All of the employees were masked and appeared to be well groomed. I did not have an appointment; but, was promptly seated within minutes after entering the salon. The person that completed my pedicure was polite and very attentive to my needs. I loved her work on my feet and her kind demeanor throughout! Unfortunately, she did not know how to design. So, another person came over to complete that piece of the service. (THIS IS WHEN THINGS STARTED TO GO LEFT!!!) I showed the assisting nail tech. the photo I had in my cell of the design that I wanted and asked if she could do it. She quickly nodded, then stated that she could. However, after completion of the design work, I was not pleased. It did not resemble my photo at all. It was sloppy and looked nothing like the photo. So, When she asked if I liked the work, I learned in as to not bring attention to us and gently told her that I did not like it at all and asked her if she could just remove the art (off my big toes) and return them to polish only, with no design. While removing the design, I asked her why she did not just tell me that she could not do the design when I showed her the photo. (It would have saved us both a lot of lost time and stress.) She did not appear to either understand, hear, or just not want to respond to my question. However, the question seemed to anger the nail tech working beside us and she began screaming at me... "Stop tearing her down! At least she tried to do it! " I was mortified! I told her that I was only responding to the question that I was asked by the nail tech... "Did I like the design?" I waited until the tech finished painting my toes and politely got up from the chair and proceeded to the counter to pay for the pedicure and leave the salon (mind you I had planned to get a manicure with a full set of acrylics, with designs. BUT GOD BLESS NANCY! Nancy (Manager) spoke with me about the incident apologized for the tech's behavior, and asked me to allow her to complete my manicure. So, I reluctantly allowed her to do so. I am so very happy that I did. She turned the entire experience around for me! She even completed the artwork on my 2 ring fingers that the other tech could not complete on my toes. I wasn't going to patronize this salon ever again. However, thanks to Nancy, I will give them another opportunity to service me...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE! I went in for a Manicure and a Pedicure and it was bad right from the beginning. First when I came in and starting picking my polish, I noticed multiple baby spiders in this place. GROSS. Then, I was seated at my chair for 15 minutes before someone finally came over to do my pedicure. This lady I had was the worst technician I've ever had, and I unfortunately didn't get her name. Aside the crappy french manicure, she performed something very illegal and rude during my pedicure. While filing the bottom of my feet, this girl pulled out a pair of cuticle cutters. She was picking at something at the bottom of my foot, which I didn't feel nor think it was anything more than just picking at a few loose pieces of skin from blisters I've had. She asked "does this hurt" and I didn't even know what she was doing until she pulled a piece of skin bigger than a quarter off of the bottom of my foot. Firstly, removing a callous is illegal and should never be done by anyone other than a doctor. And Second, she then proceeded to SHOW IT OFF TO THE TECHNICIAN AND PATRONS ALL AROUND ME. It was EXTREMELY embarrassing. I was also quoted only $42 for my mani-pedi and then at the end she said it was $57... Uhm, what??
Overall, I have nothing good to say about this place and I hope to GOD I don't get a skin infection and lose my foot because of this poor excuse of a nail technician and salon. Don't waste you money and RUN AWAY...
Read moreI am very new to the whole getting my nails done process. I had gel nails for the first time from a different salon and they weren’t put on properly to begin with but one broke and as you know it hurt terribly. It ripped off some of my nail bed and my finger was bleeding. Well someone told me about FL nails so I went to them to get my nails fixed. Not only did they do an amazing job fixing the messed up gel manicure from the other salon that I had, but they also did an amazing job caring for my broken nail. It was very embarrassing as I was crying because of the pain and one of the nail techs held my hand while the manager figured out a non-painful way to get the broken gel nail off. They took their time and were very comforting to me which is important since I deal with social anxiety. It’s hard for me to go to these places to begin with but I will definitely be going back to FL nails. They went beyond just making me feel beautiful again. Their sincerity and comfort was more than I could ask for. The price was amazing as well; very affordable. I specifically had the pleasure of dealing with Nancy which I believe is the manager and my nail tech was named Van. Thank you FL nails for such a wonderful...
