We took four kids ages between two and ten years old to a 9:15 showing of Wonder Park on a Friday night. The woman working the ticket booth was friendly, come to find out she was the manager, and they had a little fun photo booth set up for the kids inside. We got their ākids setupā with the popcorn, drink and snack and went to watch the movie. The kids ran out of drink, my husband went for refills and grab my daughter and I a pickleāNOPE. Apparently the snack bar closes before the movies are over. Mind you, we had only been watching the movie for about 45 minutes at this time. So, no more drinks and no more snacks for four kids when there is still nearly an hour left in the movie! The MANAGER rudely let my husband know that the snack bar was closed and he couldnāt have anything else. He had to practically beg them to refill the kids drinks so theyād have something to drink for the rest of the movie. They reluctantly filled them. My husband returned to our seats and my daughter got upset because she was expecting a pickle, started crying so I had to take her to sit in the car with me while the other kids finished the movie.
Seriously? You have late movie showings but close the snack bar long before the movie is over? This theater is a jokeāwhich is why we normally make the trip to Tyler to see anything. We were reminded tonight why we would rather drive 25 minutes and watch movies elsewhere. Alsoāthe sound was terrible. If we were chewing popcorn we would barely hear the movie. Iām not sure how their doors are still open! What happened to the GOOD AND FRIENDLY...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have given this theater multiple tries, just in case we went on a bad day or something. But 3rd time is not the charm in this case. Tonight was absolutely horrible. Once again, our popcorn was stale and the nachos were beyond stale (not even edible). Bought some chocolate candy and it was all melted together. To top it off, waited over an hour to be told the movie projector wasnāt working and refund would be given. I do understand that equipment fails, but donāt wait an hour to let your customers know. I was really hopeful for this theater to make a positive turn around but I highly doubt theyāll ever get there. Wanted to keep my business local instead of having to drive to Tyler.
Response to owner: I completely understand on the projector equipment not working. Things break or go on a blitz. I am not upset about that issue. Just wish we would have been told on a more timely manner. The most concerning part is the consistency of stale food. Wasted over $30 for nachos we couldnāt eat and popcorn that had definitely been past itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to the showing of Alien Romulus at 7:05 pm on August 17th. Movie began and after a single preview froze and was blank for over 10 minutes, no staff arrived to explain the delay. Started again soon after but began from the very beginning of the showing, repeating all advertisements and previews. Movie finally started and about 15 min in lost all sound for about 10 min and then froze. Curious, a few customers and I went to the front desk to inquire about refunds as this experience was already ruined. Staff advised they had paused the movie to rewind it, yet hadn't relayed any of that to the customers, also explained they could not give us refunds as it was an "opening weekend". Obviously no general manager on duty on a Saturday night to assist, we were told to call the corporate number that forwarded us back to the theater. Now I'm here because I couldn't vent or get...
