New Hong Kong Buffet — Restaurant in Jacksonville

6/9/22. We during an off time 2:30 . The food was fresh service was perfect. Bathrooms spotless. They have a lot of pride in their food. We honestly didn't know what to expect the place in Palestine we won't even think about going back there again. This place is awesome and for 10.22 for luck buffet ya can't beat it!!!

When we first stepped inside this establishment we were completely amazed. It was beyond awesome kind of a contemporary setup. The place was so clean you could eat off the floor. The bathrooms were Completely immaculate. The waitress was awesome ! Temperatures were perfect perfect on the food. The buffet airlines were extremely clean and if somebody spilled something an employee was right there to clean it up. For more than fair for the buffet which was 10.55 for lunch. This is truly a gem, and you can tell they appreciate you coming in to eat at their establishment. The Chinese food places that we have where we live are basically beyond terrible. We don't mind driving 30 minutes to eat here these people are really nice the place is clean and the food is hot and awesome!! Again this was a complete perfect dining experience even the music fit the mood...

Not All Buffets and Chinese Restaurants are created equal. New Hong Kong Buffet was a miss on every level.

Chicken and pork was rubbery, slimy. The Teriyaki chicken was dry and chewy. ALL of the food, every single item (and I tried a bunch) lacked flavor. I was hoping something was going to taste good but It's like the food lacked flavor to begin with and then had been sitting out all day and they hadn't put any fresh food out. The only thing that has any flavor was the Pepsi I had to drink.

The restaurant was dirty. Crackers, eggs rolls, sweetener packets were under the table. That was a major turn off when seeing how dirty it was.

Waiters don't check on us except when we first sat down and when we was leaving.

There's better places to eat for the same amount of money. You would be much better off going right down the road to Panda Express to eat. Yes a chain restaurant is even leagues above this place. Avoid and DO NOT EAT at New Hong Kong Buffet.

And that's the bottom line because Bad...

We've been here before. The last few times have become progressively worse. We went around the end of their "lunch" rush. Sadly, I think there was only 1 server for our section who also doubled as a busser. Honestly, I think our waitress was the only person actually working. The woman at the register stayed there the entire time, on her phone. We waited at least 10 minutes before receiving our drinks. Our waitress could have used some help between her 10 tables. I felt extremely bad for her.

The rice noodles had wilted iceberg lettuce in it instead of cabbage. It was very shocking and gross...who wants wilted lettuce?

The spring rolls, jalapeño chicken, and dumplings were decent.

There was not a huge selection of sushi by any means. I still tried it (huge mistake), it tasted terrible.

The price for what you get is not worth it...plus I've been sick since last night—stomach cramping, nausea...the...
