As I sit here eating and regretting it, a few observations: 1. Small town with limited options to eat 2. First impression of Legends was the employs loathe working there and loathe the customer even more. The girl up front has an angry demeanor and ordering was a painful experience. 3. Ordered at 7:13 and got hamburger at 7:32. Not real sure what they were doing back there in the kitchen so long as the place was relatively empty. 4. For the time spent in the kitchen, I expected a legendary double bacon cheeseburger. What I got was unseasoned meat patties that appeared to have been boiled, cheap unmelted American cheese, and stale bacon that had a wangus flavor. I’ve had some bad burgers in my day but this was straight up nasty. They use canned jalapeños that just had an overall pickled or sour flavor. 5. I watched the same unpleasant girl literally wipe every surface with the same nasty rag that was brown from all the disgusting wiping.
Perhaps the locals just don’t know anything better hence the current 4.6 star review. There is no way humanly possible that this kind of service or food elsewhere would be rated more than 2 or 3 stars max. You have been warned and if forced to eat in Jacksonville while traveling, you’re better off eating a...
Read moreWe stopped by, as this was the place with the best reviews. My wife waited for a female cook to finish in the bathroom. My wife walked in and the soap dispenser was broken. Soap would not come out. It's a little concerning that the cook went straight back to the kitchen, and no one addressed the dispenser. I ordered my burger medium. I was told that they dont know how to do that, but will tell the kitchen to cook it less. I agree with another reviewer. I believe they flash boil the burgers, as the patty is soggy and flavorless. The bread and grilled toppings were great. We sat at a "clean" table that felt like it had never been truly scrubbed that left your arms feeling like they were sticky. After taking a drink of water that tasted like straight sewage (Edit - after our hotel stay, we realized the water in the town all smells like sewage), i walked up and changed our order to go, instead of dine-in. I should of just cancelled the order and asked for our money back, but was trying to support a small town non-chain restaurant. Hopefully these comments are taken seriously and are used to improve this establish for...
Read moreI'm torn with this review but I feel it necessary. First off the food was good, had a patty melt and onion rings. My sole complaint was that the patty melt was more of a burger on toast than an actual grilled patty melt, but other than that it was delicious. The enclosed pic is the basis for my review and low rating, this pic is of an employee who was in and around the cook area, front counter, and lobby. These shorts were extremely tight, practically see thru, and in my opinion inappropriate for the environment and yes I would be saying the same thing if the employee was female. This place isn't a bar, they don't even serve beer with their burgers. I can understand, and have seen attire like this in various bar and grills around the country, but to have a family restaurant with an employee dressed in this manner seems to be a poor decision. I personally did not appreciate trying to eat my meal eye level to someone's package jostling about as he walked by me, and yes once again I'd be saying the same thing, in the same environment if it were some females anatomy being presented in such a body...
