We will NEVER set foot back into a Khols after our experience. We have been so burned by them.
We went to Khols on Friday, November 1st. We were just looking around and found a beautiful dress for our daughter. It was $40, but a sale sign on the display marked it down to $24, so we grabbed it and headed to the checkout.
Our cashier was nice, but too nice and manipulative. She scanned our items and we saw the dress was marked at $40 instead of the $24 and we asked about it and she had someone go back and check. That associate wasn’t very nice, I specially remember her looking at it and asking if it was a dog dress in a very annoyed tone before going and checking. After a few minutes, she called back on the headset to our cashier and said it was only for the Carter’s dresses. Expect the Carter’s dresses were no where near where we got this dress.
So while we are waiting for the price check. She asked if we wanted the Khols card, and we said No. She kept pushing and pushing, and we kept saying No, and it got to the point where we were uncomfortable and ended up saying yes. She said it was a soft credit hit, not a credit card, and that we would get a 40% discount for signing up. Turns out we only got a 10% discount because “we weren’t approved yet, and they will give you a call”.
We were so happy to get out of there that we ran to Sam’s Club and then returned to the store to return the dress we had bought.
Today, November 4th, we learned we were approved for the card and turns out it was a CREDIT CARD. Our credit took a HARD hit, and we were APPROVED with NO phone call.
We are fuming, we feel 100% scammed and at this point, all we can do is make others aware of this disgusting and manipulative behavior that the Khols employees are doing to...
Read moreIf I could give lower than one star I would. I will no longer be shopping at kohls. Everytime I go in there is an excuse why coupons won't work or why something doesn't ring up the sale price and they don't honor the price marked. I worked retail for 10+ years and 5+ of retail management. If something was signed on sale but didn't ring up, I gave the customer the sale price and then corrected the sign. Not make an excuse that someone may have taken the actual sign down and that arm of the rack wasn't on sale, only one arm on a 3 arm rack was included in the sale price, but no sign on the other full price items. The sale sign stated "junior tops" I chose a top off the rack and when it didn't ring up right was treated like I was in the wrong. I had an associate double check and that associate stated the sale price would be honored so I went to the register. At the register I was treated like I was stupid and wrong and told that the associate that said the price would be honored was incorrect and shouldn't be making promises. The manager declined changing the price, but I would have declined the purchase after the treatment I received. I will not be back in your store and will tell friends and family to steer clear...
Read moreThis Kohl’s is unwilling to resize a watch, they say because I don’t have a receipt, even though that isn’t the policy. The Kohl’s in Jefferson City is more than happy to as long as it is a Kohl’s watch. It just so happens to be a Kohl’s watch. A lower manager told me it had to be a Kohl’s watch and when I said it was everything was fine. When I mentioned I didn’t have the receipt she said they could not do it. Then what I assume is the store manager came in to back her employee, which is commendable. They both were very professional throughout the entire encounter. The issue with this however is that they were making the rules up as they went along. When I can go to the next nearest Kohl’s and get it done there is clearly an issue. What I found out from the other Kohl’s is that the worker who is at the jewelry counter leaves at 5pm and I came in a 4:50 pm. This is a classic example of employees shirking duties. Great job Kohl’s. Middle class mom’s...
