I LOVE Hidden Gem. I've been coming here for 6+ years and iniitally met Patricia (the owner) when she did hair and makeup for my wedding 8 years ago. Will never go to another salon.

I now see Taylor who does my cuts and color. She is amazing + incredibly talented - I do a red balayage which is complicated and she always knows how to handle it, how to cut my hair, when I might need to come back for updates. Taylor is also concerned with ensuring I am incredibly happy with my hair, and goes the extra mile when it comes to customer service. I was pregnant last time I was there and Taylor made sure I was comfortable and that I had time to get up and walk around the salon so I didn't get cramps.

They always have snacks, water, drinks, and the assistants always make sure you have what you need. It's easy to book and I highly recommend everyone who works...

She is highly skilled and the sweetest and most compassionate service provider I’ve ever been to. She is so detailed in her work and really cares about her clients and their hair. She is super down to earth and funny! Her salon is beautiful and all the stylists are so warm and welcoming! I am beyond grateful to have stumbled on her IG and I won’t be going anywhere else. I booked an appointment last minute online for 7-8pm . I texted the hair stylist personally that I would be 10 minutes late. She then said she had “somewhere important” to be and cancelled my appointment. I told her I was willing to just got for a haircut and that no styling was needed. My hair is pretty short, I just wanted a trim, and it probably would have taken 20 minutes. She was not adaptable whatsoever and did not seem to care. With all the other salons in the Park Ridge area, I recommend going somewhere that is more welcoming to new clients… I was able to get my haircut that same day as a walk-in at another salon. I’m glad the stylist cancelled my appointment because I received a great haircut from Anthony Valentino, where they more than welcomed me, appreciated my business, took my jacket...
