After stumbling across FS on Maps. We were intrigued by their westernesque dinner menu enough to stop in during Happy Hour on a Wednesday. Very open sportsbar atmosphere, and it seems capable of hosting a decent enough sized crowd that might come by for drinks on the weekend. As I mentioned above, we went during happy hour, so appetizers were half priced, and we ordered a trio of them. All are pictured above. The potato skins were very acceptable in size and taste. Snake bites (bacon wrapped jalapeno with cream cheese) were about average, and the BBQ Pulled Pork Egg Rolls were tasty, but only 2 per order. Avoid the Jambalaya (pictured). It was terrible. It tasted exactly like generic store bought taco seasoning. Far from authentic and out was very soupy and probably closer to a Gumbo than Jambalaya. I'm super bitter about this because I was excited to try it, and I hate taco seasoning. The server, a young lady, was also spotty at best. Didn't introduce herself or ask how our dishes were. She was attentive with water refills, though, so she gets credit for that. I'm intrigued by the brisket and the wings but I'm not sure I would come back.

Probably one of the neatest, nicely stacked, and cleanest, bars I have seen in a long time in Chicago, granted Edison Park, along Northwest Highway. Definitely well-managed and well-owned. Attentive service all-around. Walked in close to 9pm tonight, a Friday. Grabbed some brews and cocktails, and also ordered Snakebites, and a Half Slab of their Ribs with a side of Sweet Potato Tatertots. Photos of meals shared here. Prices for drinks and meals are absolutely worth the visit. Did not realize how quickly this place would fill in. Live music started at 10pm but I think everyone that comes here are regulars/locals. Enjoyed the crowd, music, and as we left, the outdoor patio was even packed. Happy to see this area continue to live on. Would not mind stopping in again.

What a fun time ! When you get a greeting with a smile from the start you know you're in for a good time. Friendly service, very clean location with a hint of something good cooking in the air ! Live music was a plus & the line dancers were on point! Where do they get the energy 🤔.. itcwas fun to see men & women getting their 'line' on & enjoying it. Lots of large screen television sets for your sports pleasure & plenty of seating. Could maybe use a little larger bathroom but that's my only unpleasant comment. Great food menu from appetizers to what is definitely a full menu sandwich 🥪. Outdoor seating was available on this pleasant temperature night 🌙. Drink specials, wide variety of beers & spirits for your liking. Definitely stop by if you're in the area !

FIrst, the food was good. Unfortunately, the unqualified, disinterested staff and management are another story, My family and I were at Firewater, Edison Park for dinner last Sunday. My mother and I were interested in the Honey Fried Chicken and asked the server if the chicken was boneless or on the bone. She answered "I assume it's boneless." As she was answering, another server passed by and told her it was actually on the bone. Now knowing that it is on the bone, we asked if it was a 1/4 or half chicken, was it dark, light of a combination. The server responded its usually just "some pieces." Not satisfied with that answer (still don't know if it's a 1/4 or 1/2 chicken), I asked if she could check with someone. Here answer was "what kind do you want, I ASSUME you can have whichever you want." still not satisfied with the answer, but realizing that the server wasn't willing to check with anyone and not wanting cause any unpleasantness for the rest of my family, my mother and I each ordered "Honey Fried Chicken, ALL WHITE MEAT." The server still seemed confused and said she would check with the kitchen to make sure it's possible. The server never came back with an answer from the kitchen so we assumed all is well until another server delivered the food and we each got a BREAST and THIGH, Clearly not ALL WHITE meat. When I mentioned it to the delivering server, he responded "I don't think the cook knows how to tell white meat from dark meat." ??? When our original server returned to the table to make sure "everything was ok," we let her know the chicken was not as ordered. She said she would see if the kitchen could do anything. When she returned she told us there would be an upcharge for all white meat (to little too late). I told her that when we had questions, she wouldn't get answers ,so we are not going to pay an upcharge at this point and just want what she promised. She said she would talk to her manager. Next a guy who claimed to be manager came to the table to see what was wrong. I explained the whole story and he told me they "don't do all white meat because that's like a whole chicken." I was persistent since the server hadn't been willing to get answers to our questions upfront. The "manager" begrudgingly agreed to replace our thighs with breasts. When the replacements arrived I got a breast and my mother got another THIGH instead of the promised breast. At this point we knew getting satisfaction at Firewater would not be possible so we paid our check and left. It's very unlikely we'll...

We went for Mother's Day brunch.it was timed for every 2 hours. Our reservation was for 9 but they were off to a slow start so food wasn't available until almost 9:40 .Not certain if this was their time hosting. They ran out of pancakes, french toast, syrup early on, they did replenish but more lines so wasn't able to have any. The eggs Benedict were served with tongs...if you were lucky enough to b tall and could see the bottom of the seving pan,, you would see all the yokes, a nice size spatula would have been best. Think the menu indicated scrambled eggs..didn't see them..so I may b mistaken. In another small room they served biscuits and gravy..sorry, it was a meh but the tables were low and u could see the selections. The serving tables in the main room were bar tables which r rather high. Am 5'2", had the wrong utensils so it make serving a wee bit stressful. However, what I ate was fine. The servers were wonderful. Friendly, attentive, quick and accommodating. A lovely touch they made small herbs in jelly jars for Mom's 2 take home.. a slight down side, they started late and removed the food to prepare for the next session a little early so if you're not fast and one that enjoys a leisurely meal you must serve yourself...

Beyond aggravated this is the second time we made the mistake going for breakfast. Took an hour to get breakfast (two skillets) which I would’ve been able to deal with if the server ( possibly owner) had bothered to come check on us and see if we needed a drink refill and tell us the kitchen was short staffed. She waited until two minutes before our food was coming out to let us know. The place was maybe 1/4 capacity to what I see in the evenings, I watched tables who came in after us get serviced and be in and out and they had more than 2 people at the table. Apparently the extra 5 steps to the window seat were two far and when she did come check in she had a sour look on her face like it’s our fault her staff didn’t show up. After an hour and a half I had to flag down another waitress (who serviced the only outside table and her dog with food and drink in under 10 min) for boxes and the check. Our server didn’t come apologize, no offer to comp a drink or anything. I spent 20 years in the food service industry and I was ashamed of her behavior as a grown woman running the show. Poor structure, poor organization, and worst of all poor attitude. You shouldn’t punish your patrons for...
