This is my local park, they have a pond where you can feed the ducks and their chicks. They have a private spot with a beautiful waterfall where you can sit and talk. They have 2 gorgeous playgrounds (1 for younger children, and 1 for an older crowd of teens and adults) Riis has a water park which is connected to one of the playgrounds all the way in the back of the park. They have a public pool, an ice skating rink. A football, soccer, and baseball field, they also have a tennis court. And we have food stands and even 2 huge parking lots, Riis park hosts carnivals and festivals every year with tons of roller coasters and rides! They’ve kept the original wood of the entire lobby and refurbished it. Restore the original front doors of the Fieldhouse is one beautiful piece of work! The auditorium was restored to its original design. The auditorium stage has been updated with steady Art lighting. The new gymnasium is massive. This one is definitely one of the more beautiful ones with plenty of amenities; pond, tennis courts, turf field, running track, ice skating rink, swimming pool, great hills for sledding, wide open fields for picnics, and a playground.
