May 1, 2022:. Aldi and others have eliminated all plastic bags. It's a good thing. But don't we buy plastic totes? There exist hypocrisy in these decisions as long as we have a human accountability problem. Further it wasn't too long ago we couldn't get paper shopping bags. April 26, 2022: When the global weather warms, all ships rise: Aldi's, Meyer's, Costco, and Walmarts are all expanding.

Coca Cola is off the charts in profit inspite of the medical suggestions that "Sugar drinks and even diet drinks are contributing to a shorter life span."

Tony's and New York's investment firm Apollo Global Management have "Pooled their interests". A pooling of interest is a business plan that doesn't subordinate either Tony's or Apollo in running the chain.

But truth be told someone is always weaker -- and that would be Tony's.

Apollo bought Albertson's, et Al, like Jewel-Osco, recently for around 1.75 billion.

What do you think about an investment firm owning so many food stores?

Merger and acquisition transactions stiffles competition over food choices and prices, and the joint interests creates a monopoly that may need a trustbuster.

And since Jewel-Osco's chain is the greediest, might Tony's soon be suspected of...

Hello Only few times I wrote a one star review but Tony's fresh marker deserve it fully. I would like make people aware of the prices in this store. The marketing team creates false advertising on prices( I can provide pictures) but they already knows that. I had discussed with management and some of them agreed that is not right or explicit for majority of the people. My last experience it was with a bag of avocados. I use to buy the same bag(5ct) with $2.99 or something when it was on sale it was $1.99. What happened..they have a big sign with SALE and the price now is $0.6 but actually the price is per each. The same regular price $2.99 but now it's a big sign with Sale. If you look on the sign it's not specific because they want people to be confused. Anyway is wrong because you can't buy one avocado. They are selling whole bag but the price is on each. I spoke with the manager and she agreed is not clear and left after that. Interesting... It's not first time! So, they know about but don't want to fix it because not all the clients are paying attention. In the end I hope this review will be helpful for some...

Im responding to the following review below: My personal belief is because of retail theft. I have also notice that a lot of shoppers just take the carts full of groceries with them. There has been a lot of shopping carts dumped around the neighborhood. There has been a lot of homeless and drunk people asking for money outside of their store. I'm all for retail businesses protecting themselves. This the only grocery store in this area. With retail theft on the rise businesses are closing due to losses. I have lived in this neighborhood over 20 years when Dominicks was around. I remembered when Dominicks closed and this neighborhood did not have a grocery store for over a year. In the years since Tonys has opened it has improved a lot. I still believe has more improving to do. I also hope they add security as I believe they are in need of it. Overall this a decent grocery store. I will continue to shop here.
