I genuinely hate to write this review. I am hesitant to write bad reviews and always try to give the benefit of the doubt. However, I believe it is warranted in this case.
I had a very bad experience at this nail salon and I would really appreciate if somebody reached out to me to make it right.
I went in on a random Tuesday, just looking for a full gel set. Their sign says a full gel set costs $40. A friendly lady told me they would be with me shortly, and I was happy to wait. I waited at least one entire hour. This was fine, as I spent most of that time just scrolling on my phone and I didn’t have other plans. The problem is what happened afterwards.
I showed 3-4 different pictures and told the nail tech she could choose one option that would be easiest for her. She didn’t understand, and was kinda pushy and didn’t take the time to try to understand. I ended up with nails that looked nothing like any of the pictures. Again, I didn’t need her to copy them identically, I just wanted her to do something that looked a bit modern, simple, and natural. Instead, I paid $55 (plus a tip, which I left anyway because I felt bad), not including the waxing service I received, for nails that lasted less than one week and looked nothing like what I wanted.
The nails were extremely overpriced, considering $40 was the advertised price. I suppose that the extra $15 was for the “design”. But the design was poor and didn’t look anything like the samples. Even if it did look like the examples, it wouldn’t have been worth $15 extra. And I waited over an hour for them!
If that was the end of the story, I wouldn’t have written this review. Unfortunately, less than two days after I got my new nails, one broke off at work. Luckily I saw it happen or perhaps I would have lost my job. It didn’t even hurt when it snapped! Now, if the nails were done correctly, that should have caused excruciating pain. But losing the nail was entirely painless. I have since torn all of them off and didn’t even flinch. They were basically like Walmart fake nails placed on with Elmers glue. I will not be back.
If you own or operate this establishment, I would love for you to make this right, and maybe I will delete this review....
Read moreThis place is the worst and most unprofessional nail salon I have ever been to! I walked in and was not told "hey" "may I help you" "what do you need" or anything. I noticed that three staff members were with other customers, so I sat down. Shortly afterwards a woman and her daughter came in. Immediately they tell her "Hey and how can we help you" The customer and her daughter wanted a pedicure, they took them directly over to the chairs and say them down. I was shocked, but since I am a guy figured they may have assumed I was with a female or customer in the store. I walked up to the counter and waited patiently for a staff member to come up to the counter. Finally one customer was getting ready to leave and pay for her nails. When the staff member approached, the door came open behind me. Again, immediately she asked two more customers what they needed and how she could help them. I am standing in front of this lady, at the counter, looking at her with disbelief! So in amazement, I watched TWO more customers be taken to chairs and began receiving pedicures! I asked the lady if she didn't realize I wanted a pedicure or if it was because I was a guy and she "assumed" I was just being nice by allowing all these women to go in front of me. The guy working there then made the comment "You can wait for the next available chair if you want, we are busy" By this time I'm fuming, so I tell the guy "Did you not see me walk in, when you were sitting in that chair not doing anything"? He said "YES"...What?! Really?! I couldn't believe my ears! I asked him why should I wait since four other customers had came in after me and were already receiving services. I will NEVER be back to the facility, not would I EVER recommend anyone! I have a teenage daughter who gets her nails done often, as well as her friends. I will ensure none of them come here! I also grew up in this community and will make certain everyone knows how rude and hateful the employees are! Hopefully this review will save someone the heartache of having to deal with such...
Read moreRecently had my nails done at this salon (white tip acrylic manicure) and the experience was not ideal. I'll start on a positive note, this salon is GORGEOUS--crystal chandeliers and decor everywhere. It should be called Crystal Nail & Tan. The price was also great--hence why I decided to try this salon out for the first time. The ladies seemed nice, although not prone to small talk--again, not a big deal. The service itself though, was the worst experience ever. The nail technician I got was the oldest of all the ladies. She did everything in her power to do my nails as fast as possible and said nothing to me during my manicure, even after making 6 out of 10 fingers bleed! I was in shock, she didn't apologize or bother to clean up my hands as my nail beds gushed and she continued to file away (so unsanitary, I wonder if this also happens with people with blood-borne diseases???). I was in soo much pain. Keeping in mind I've been getting my nails done several times a year for the last 8 or so years, I'm no newbie...I've had a few nicks on my cuticles before (just never like this). I hate confrontation, so during the mani I said nothing and hoped the results would be worth it. They weren't. Several nails were not even fully covered with acrylic, a few nails had been filed crookedly, other nails had too much acrylic, covering parts of my skin. It was so bad that without saying a word about my experience, even my husband noticed the imperfections right away. Such a shame. Don't waste your...
