Came in to try for a first time, because it was lunch time and this place is located in a truck stop. I am a truck driver , and was passing through. I read and write reviews all over the country. This place said it has PRETZEL BUNS and wheat buns and white and also gluten free options.. I ordered a pretzel bun for my burgers and was told they don’t have them. “DONT KNOW WHY IT SAYS THAT”! Is what I was told . Asked for a wheat bun instead and she asked the person in the back who was previously taking orders, but went back to cook, because Courtney was not available to cook. She was told they didn’t have anything but white buns. Clearly, somebody’s not doing their job. Even the posterboard on the wall said pretzel buns. and the reader board says wheat buns. Paid a bunch of money for something. I hope I’m gonna eat. Haven’t even tasted it yet. Prices are pretty expensive. I got the medium burger that was $9.99 . Add $1.79 for Swiss cheese $1.79 for mushrooms. an upgrade for the sweet potato fries. My total was $21.14 for my meal! About 15 minutes after I arrived at the establishment, I received my meal. the sweet potato fries were hot. The burger looked good. The white bun looked big and thick but tasty. Everything was good. Just a little overpriced. I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked, and I said medium well, but it came out well done, but it was still good. I noticed they were five or 6 dirty tables. people standing around acting like there’s nothing to do…. Total of four other people in the restaurant at the time I was in there. I did like the fact that they had a toppings bar that you can add what you want to, to your burgers. They also had cheese sauce available. The brewed iced tea was very good. I got the medium size burger, and it was very tasty . Next time I won’t drink so much tea before I get my meal. I couldn’t finish my medium size burger next time I’ll get a small if there ever...
Read moreDefinitely not a fast food restaurant. Don’t come expecting fast food quality, speed, or prices. The food is good quality, cooked to order (read slow), and not cheap.
I’ve read reviews that say Fuddruckers is WAY better than Five Guys. In a word: no.
They sell BURGERS here, not combos. So when you see $6.99 that’s for the burger. You can add $4.69 to any burger to make it a combo. If you make it a combo, they will add a healthy portion of wedge-shaped fries and a medium-ish drink. They have the Soda fountains with 4,000 different drinks to choose from.
They have several different burgers on offer. All of which come in 4 sizes - small, medium, large, x-large.
If memory serves: Small = 1/4 lb ($6.99 ish) Medium = 1/3 lb ($8.99 ish) Large = 1/2 lb ($9.99 ish) X-large = 1 lb ($11 ish I think. Not sure began to black out)...
Medium was plenty for me. It likely will be for most people sans a tapeworm or the name Matt Stoney.
The burger was massive. I probably didn’t even need the fries. The fries were decent and somewhat improved by the cheddar cheese dipping sauce.
I don’t know if this is typical but when my burger was finally ready, they called my name. I went to the counter and found my food sitting under a heat lamp on a counter in what looked like a round cake pan with paper lining the bottom.
The burger was devoid of any toppings. You apply your own toppings at the toppings bar. Toppings were VERY fresh. Whole lettuce leaves, chopped lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red and yellow onion, pickles, jalapeños, banana peppers, diced onions were all there. Beside the toppings bar were giant dispensers of mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
It was a fresh, juicy, hefty, better than fast food burger. To me, though, it wasn’t as flavorful as a Five Guys burger. But still a good meal. I would eat here again but would probably go with a burger and a shake ($4.99😳) instead...
Read moreManagement probably doesn't care; but my experience was terrible!! I was there last Sunday evening (11/12/23) at just before 7:00 pm. I was quite excited because I didn't think Fuddruckers still existed. My excitement turned to disappointment because of the lack of customer service.
I walked in, and got in line. I couldn't see the lady behind the cash register. She took care of the person before me. I waited because I thought she wasn't ready to take my order just yet. When I walked in front of the register, She said NOTHING for over a minute. Finally she said, "Are you wanting to order something?" (Why else would I be in line?} I said, "Yes, I'm just waiting.". Again, I didn't know if she was ready for me to order. I was expecting her to say something like "Can I help you?" or "What can I help you with?" Again, NOTHING for over a minute!!!!
I finally got tired of waiting, and left. [I decided to spend my money elsewhere.] When I got to my vehicle, I looked back, and she was already helping the person who was behind me. I'm a veteran, and for some reason, she didn't want to help me!!! I don't understand why; but that is TERRIBLE customer service. I will never be back!! I wouldn't recommend that anyone go to this restaurant -- ever. Customers pay the salaries & the bills. We shouldn't EVER be treated the way I was treated by...
