I am just THRILLED to update my review for this location from 1 star to 5 stars!! They have a whole new staff that has brought this store from 0 to 100! Brandy (the new manager) has picked awesome people and I am super happy to report all the isles are stocked, clean and clear to walk/roll down. I have been assured by multiple employees that there will be no more random open or close hours and they are trying their very best to get the store to it's top potential.
Thank you to all the new staff! I appreciate you all and I'm sure the surrounding community does as well. :)
Review from May 2021: I don’t know what’s been going on with this location for like the past 6 months but things need to change. I don’t know why they’re having such a problem keeping staff but because of that they frequently open late and close early due to staffing issues. They obviously don’t have enough people to put away their delivery truck because there’s always a bunch of carts in every aisle filled with things that are supposed to go on the shelf. Seems like the contents of the delivery truck never gets put away.
Went up there today and the sign on the door said “Closing at 4pm due to staff issues.”
Corporate really needs to step in and fix...

I was approached by a employee asking if I needed help with anything and I let her know that I was just looking. I was actually there with my Mother in law who was shopping. We were out that day having lunch and she decided to stop by this dollar store instead of our regular one at Elk Creek. The employee made me very uncomfortable as she tried to follow me around. When we approached the register and she seen that I was with my mother in law, her tune changed and I confronted her. She proceeded to tell me that she assumed that I was up to no good. I proceeded to inform her that I was not from there and I was not familiar with the store and I was just looking around. Let's just say that I didn't accept her apology nor her explanation! Directly informed another associate that she needed to attend training in customer service and communication classes wouldn't hurt. Read moreI just left this Dollar General, and I am absolutely appalled by the way I was treated. I was casually shopping, taking my time to look around after stopping by Dollar Tree which is right next door for Halloween decorations. When I went to the frozen section to grab some individually wrapped ice creams for me and my son (who was right next to me), a loud monitor announcement came on directly above my head saying, “We are monitoring this area. We are watching your every move.” There was no reason at all for them to believe I was trying to steal.
It was humiliating and completely unnecessary. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome while simply trying to shop. I came in to spend money, not to be treated like a criminal. Dollar General needs to seriously rethink how they use these announcements because driving away paying customers is not good business. Not to mention the cashier was very rude to my 2 year old son.
