I had my boyfriend order take-out from here on my way home from work, with traffic and my boyfriend sending me the wrong address, it was taking me longer than anticipated to arrive for pick-up... But NEVER have I ever had a place call, not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES, in the span of 25-30 mins to see if I’m getting my order.
My boyfriend, who placed the order, got all the calls. He said each time the man sounded more and more angry and frustrated. Within 5 minutes of getting our last, aggravated call, my boyfriend gets a text saying our order was canceled. I was literally about to walk in to pick up the food. When he called asking why it said canceled, despite every time they called we said we were on the way and it had been no more than 30-35 mins, the angry man said the food was thrown away and asked if we wanted to place a carry out order.
People need to learn to give others grace; this was at 5:30pm, during rush hour, and the food waited for no more than 35 mins. If it’s cold, that’s my problem. But don’t THROW AWAY perfectly good food, that I was going to pay for, and then proceed to ask if I’d still like to place a carry/out order. Plus how pathetic, really, for a restaurant to be CALLING CUSTOMERS MULTIPLE TIMES WITHIN 30 MINS OF AN ORDER, ANNOYED THE FOOD WASN’T PICKED-UP, especially when my boyfriend picked up & assured I was on the way each time. Red red flags.
Thanks for the opportunity of finding the better Double Dragon in Jtown (it’s the one by Meijer off Hurstborne). Thats coincidentally where I accidentally...
Read moreI ordered takeout from here last night. When I called to place an order I specifically asked if the dish I was ordering (bourbon chicken and plain lo mein noodles) contained shellfish. The woman, who spoke perfect English, said no. I asked if she was sure and asked about the sauces specifically. She assured me NO. When I got home, I took two bites and could immediately tell that something was wrong. Numb tongue and lips, itchy throat. I stopped eating of course and called them back. I got a different woman on the phone who again, spoke perfect English. I simply just asked, “does your bourbon chicken and plain lo mein noodles contain shellfish of any kind?”… she told me she was going to ask the cooks and then put me on hold. She picked the phone back up and said she didn’t think so. I explained to her that I just ordered and picked up my food, was assured it was shellfish free and told her I ate some and felt like I was having an allergic reaction. She put me on hold again and after another small wait, picked up the phone and said, “yes, the cook did use oyster sauce in your noodles.” No apology, no offer to refund my money, nothing. She then hung up and I had to throw a 13 dollar meal straight in the garbage. Had to take a Benadryl and spent the entire night itching profusely. Thank god my shellfish allergy isn’t more severe. I’m writing this just to warn people….. if you have an allergy, do NOT eat here. I won’t trust...

The delivery driver then calls me and was so rude because he came to the wrong place and I even offered to meet him there even though I should not of had to. I then finally get my food and it is cold. So i call double dragon and she asked if the driver was the one in the red shirt who is "kind of fat" was her exact words. She doesn't even tell me to hang on but instead talks to her manager while im just sitting there and he says I have to drive, all the way there to give the food back in order to get my money back.
