I get pretty much all my makeup from Ulta, but it was my first time going to this specific store. I normally buy online, but that of course makes things a bit harder with makeup. I had just gotten my hair colored after working up the drive to do some self care so I was excited to see some new makeup options in person and know I was getting the right shades. The store was nice and clean but they were out of the brand I would normally buy so I wanted to ask if there was any somewhere else or if they had any alternative suggestions.
I walked around trying to get help but didn’t see anyone. After about five minutes, I saw an associate walking directly towards me. I said hi and started to ask my question when she said she was helping someone else. Totally understand, already busy, didn’t know. I looked around the store from where I was standing trying to find someone else, but there weren’t anymore employees that I could see walking around so I waited patiently close by the employee for 2-3 minutes while she helped the customer she was with. When she finished with the customer she turned and walked in the other direction.
Ok… wasn’t expecting that. So I started to follow and someone else asked her for help before I could catch up. Alright, so I waited again fairly close by, making eye contact a couple times with the employee, while she helped the second person. When she finished with the second customer after a few minutes, she again turned the opposite direction and walked away from me.
She walked down a few aisles and started messing with a shelf and some inventory phone thing. So I walked to the isle and waited patiently for her to finish but after waiting a few awkward minutes within a few feet of her without her even acknowledging me, I moved on. Could I have asked her again for help? Sure, but the whole situation was just awkward at that point. I know she saw me on all three occasions. I know she knew I needed help. She was clearly an Ulta employee (ironically wearing an apron with the brand I had questions about) Asking again would have made me feel rude. I tried to find someone else to help but I couldn’t find anyone. I just put what I had picked up back where I had gotten it from and left.
Y’all, I wasn’t rude or giving off annoyed vibes at all. It was just strange. Maybe they are understaffed. Maybe she had something else she needed to do right then. Just, at least acknowledge a person looking for...
Read moreI placed an online order here for pick up. The deadline for pick up was today at the end of the day. I sent my spouse and they tell him it's been restocked. So I call the store and they tell me it's been restocked and I can reorder and I wasn't charged because they restocked it. I check my account and I was charged and it states someone has picked up my order. So the manager looks up my order. Places me on hold several time, asked if it would have been under another name. Then proceeds to tell me I can come back and pick it up that it's ready. I said okay so it's 5 items she said no it's just these two item. So I tell her the items and she states it will be ready. Long story short wasted my spouses time and gas because they are incompetent. No one knew about my order except for my spouse which leads me to believe an employee stole my order and they attempted to give me the run around. I guess they assumed I wouldn't be picking it up because it was the last day for pick up. I work 3rd shift and haven't had the chance to get it. However the lack of professionalism here is why I rated this location 1 star. Had they actually looked up my order when my spouse went to pick it up they would have told him someone picked it up not that it had been restocked. I guess the next time I place an order I will have it delivered or drive the hr to another location instead of the 30 minutes to...
Read moreI always go to this location to buy everything I need but recently I visited and things seemed off. Firstly I walk in, no greeting and no one at the registers. I go to IT cosmetics where I get my makeup and my shade is missing. The store seemed dirty empty and in disarray. So I interrupt the brunette tattooed I’m assuming manager that I haven’t seen at this location before while she’s talking to other employees at the salon to ask her if she has my shade in stock. After a few minutes of her being gone she hands me the shade and asks me if I’m using a credit card. I explained to the misses that I’m using my debit card and she then asks me to sign up for “their company card”. I kindly say no. She walks me up to the register and continues to ask me and tell me all of the benefits, again I tell her no thank you. She then becomes rude and cold and shoves my foundation in a bag before asking me to pay. I decided I didn’t want the foundation, walked out, and went to Sephora. I love this location and maybe they had a bad day but it left a bad taste...
