This new hotel has a very clean & modern feel as well as tasteful decor. The beds & pillows were VERY comfortable & I slept well. The shower pressure was great & I loved the smell of the complimentary citrus shampoo, conditioner, etc. The price was right especially considering it included breakfast, which was however, actually our biggest disappointment. We had filtered our search so we could be sure to have a nice breakfast before starting our day. We stayed on a Friday & came down for the 6-9am breakfast at 8:35am. There was some gravy left but no biscuits, sausage links, or eggs to really speak of, although the food debris around the pans & on the countertop proved it was once full; I was surprised no one had maintained the area very well. There were about 8 people waiting for the waffle maker. We got in line & I figured there’d be more hot food on its way. After waiting a long 10 minutes in line for the waffle maker, no staff had been out to refill any of the other hot items & the other guests in line for the waffle maker were noticing the batter dispenser was getting very low & now had to be tilted over in order to get any batter out. I was still waiting on the eggs and biscuits as well. Guests began commenting to each other about how inattentive the staff was & I whole-heartedly agreed so at that point I decided to say something to the front desk lady who could be seen from the dining area, although she was clearly paying little attention. I approached & explained to her that people were waiting for food and that the waffle mix was about gone etc. and that no other hot items had been replenished. She said well breakfast only goes until 9am. I was confused so I asked well what time was it now? She replied 8:49am and I said okay well we had been standing there well over 10 minutes and that the food trays were empty when we arrived. She said the biscuits take 20 minutes so that wasn’t possible to make at this point. I asked if she could atleast ask the kitchen to bring out some more scrambled eggs or something. She didn’t seem to be too excited about that but agreed anyway. I returned & told the other guests what I’d requested & got a few thank you’s. After about 10 minutes the scrambled eggs did come out & atleast that was something, but it was clear that I wasn’t the only guest who was left disappointed & for a brand new hotel the breakfast service clearly left something to be desired. I would definitely stay here again if I knew that the breakfast service...
Read moreWhat a cluster... So I book a room online at the Best Western Plus, Louisville North, in Clarksville, IN. I use Google Maps to get there and it seems Google Maps is wrong, because it's a Comfort Inn. Best Western is next door. So I go to check in and the woman tells me that they are having a maintenance issue. I need to go to Quality Inn, and they are owned by the same company and honoring all the reservations. So I go next door where the map took me initially and go to check in. She can't find my reservation. I call it up on my phone and she says "Oh Best Western PLUS, that IS us. We just got bought and changed the name". Not sure how anyone is supposed to know that... So she hands me off to a guy that doesn't look like he's slept I'm a week. He's wearing a mossy oak hooded jacket, and was talking to who I can only assume is his gf who is loitering around the counter in fleece pajamas pants. He takes a long time and finally gets me keys to a room on the second floor. I go to park and the hotel, seriously, only had about 18 parking places. I just pull out of the way. On the way back in, I ask Mossy where they are hiding the parking lot. He says they share parking at the Best Western next door. Huh?!? We take our stuff up and... We can't get in the room. I go back down to Mr Mossy Oak and interrupt his conversation with pajama girl, and he says sorry, someone is already in that room. (WTH?) I comment that they probably didn't care for someone trying to get in their room, repeatedly, at 10 pm. I then get keys to a room on the third floor. So we shlep our stuff up there and... keys again don't work. So back down we go. The lady is back and I tell her that I'm not going to a third room, that they can just give me a refund. That, of course, takes longer than it should and she's just starting at the screen, shaking her head repeatedly. I tell her that I'm thinking that a room without someone already in it, and that I can actually enter, should be the bare minimum to be in the hotel business. So now we're 2 hours down the road in Bowling Green, at a Sleep Inn that ironically seems to be owned by the same chain. Fortunately the lobby here is not Darwin's...
Read moreThe room was as appeared in the posted photos. They were clean and modern. What is not shown is that there’s only 5 parking spaces. Early bird gets the worm. They asked us to park across the street in gravel lot that was unlit and heavy equipment parked. I was assured it was safe. I just pointed out how would he feel about parking over there if you weren’t from here???? The front desk person didn’t want to be bothered. I asked for a room on front so I could watch my vehicle. He said rooms are pre assigned and he can’t change them. He didn’t even know if my room was facing the front or not. It did. I passed the front desk many times between check in and check out with no one manning the desk. I did see him smoking several times and sitting under the covered entry parking space. My room had a great view of the concrete entry. You are within walking distance of restaurants; however, they close at 9 pm.
There is another Best Western adjacent to this property. It’s a motel style but has plenty of parking. May want...
