we went for first time. the interior reminds me of a woman sandwich shop. where you take group of ladies for finger sandwiches and soup. anyway. i ordered the $7.99 deal. i picked the fancy nancy on toasted white bread sandwich with grape salad was good. grape salad was excellent. the chicken salad consisted of quality ingredients although was bland. i seasoned with pepper and it worked. sweet iced tea was weak and not so sweet. my meal was satisfying. the atmosphere was pleasant. we will study the menu and return. this is a nice place for the ladies. There appears to be a few more meatier sandwiches on the menu that the men may like. men will have to add another side to get satisfied, and with a soda, making their meal cost about $14. i enjoyed my meal there. returned: nice feminine feel. staff smiling and genuinely helpful. food quality excellent. i got white bread toasted and the chicken salad sandwich dressed receiving both at no extra charge. although portions look small, the meal was appetizing and fulfilling. omg the grape salad is excellent. i got a sample of the bbq chicken salad and it was surprisingly good. i think i’ll get that next time. the after dinner cookie they include is to die for/so yummy. i recommend this place for ladies lunch out.
update: i purchased the bbq flavor chicken salad sandwich (i don’t remember the name) with white toasted bread dressed with tomato and lettuce. in my mind i thought i was eating like a pulled bbq chicken sandwich. i tried the potato soup, which wasn’t really soupy. not my favorite so i will go back to the terrific grape salad next time. we will go back. good quality food. nice clean attractive atmosphere. we bought an bag of the cookies. omg. a great gift idea.
update: i like the white bread toasted and purchased the blt sandwich, which was $1 more for two or three pcs of bacon. i liked it. the grape salad is yummy. the regular original chicken salad is good! consistently good quality food. long line at drive through. i opt to eat inside. friendly informative staff. dining room clean and pleasant atmosphere.
returned September 2023: went Saturday for lunch, opted for dine in, place was kind of busy, never seen this many customers before, several groups ordered food for dine in. i ordered, paid and our food was never prepared. we really had an appetite for this food but after waiting and waiting, i decided to get a refund. shift manager gave me a refund and we left.
Update for 2025: The dining room looks the same and still has the same vibe. Cashier/food runner/busser was a friendly young man. The food was good. We...
Read moreGreat food. Terrible service. There's a whole list of issues. This was kind of a strike three for me on the service. Here's the details. They have two cash registers. A group of three ladies were ordering at the first cash register. The second cash register was unmanned even though there were seven giggling girls standing right in front of it. So, I waited. The ladies in front of me moved on, then I walked up. The girl at the cash register had her body turned away from me, facing the other seven giggling girls, for about 15 to 20 seconds. When she finally turned towards me, she just looked at me, as though I was annoying her. She said nothing, just looked at me. At that point, I said "I would like to buy this chicken salad and order something that isn't in the case." She rang up my order and gave me a number. I took it upon myself that I was to wait with my number, right next to the counter. The next customer came up, again receiving lacking service, but was asked if they wanted crackers. At that point, I was getting upset, then said, "oh you can have crackers? Yes, I would like crackers with my order as well", having never been asked for the option. Eight minutes went by before I finally got my one extra tub of chicken salad. That came at a point when one of the giggling girls noticed me standing there for several minutes. She looked at my receipt, hollered back for my order, and it was there in seconds. To wrap things up, the three food items I purchased were handed to me loose, and not bagged. I discreetly reached for one of their bags, and bagged it all myself. In conclusion, I'll keep going back for the great chicken salad, but will expect ridiculous service. They are overstaffed with high school girls, on their phones, socializing, and clearly not...
Read moreToday I decided to try something new so I skipped the fast food joints and came here.
I chose the Trio.. getting Olivia's Southern Chicken Salad on a croissant, the broccoli salad, and loaded potato soup and a cookie.
The croissant was fresh and soft, the lettuce was limp, the salad was ok. Nothing to write home to my Southern Mama about. The dill pickle slice added some flavor and I'm not a pickle lover.
The broccoli salad was good. I had to keep mixing it to get enough dressing on it to taste it. But when I did it was very good.
The potato soup was lukewarm at best. I think it will be tasty reheated. I brought the salad and soup home. That would be a deal breaker if I had really wanted to eat it there. I want my hot food HOT and my cold food COLD.
I agree with other reviewers-- the staff at the window was not very friendly. No smiles. No thank you's. I think I had frustrated her by saying I had never eaten there before and I needed a minute to look at the menu please. No reply.
Again as others have said-- the prices online were cheaper than the sign.
After paying $11.29 for my lunch I wasn't going to add another $2 for a drink so I asked for water. I got a child's size cup.
All in all it was better than a burger and fries but when compared to $11 spent recently at APPLEBEE'S (2 for $22) where we split an appetizer, I had a 6oz steak, garlic mashed potatoes and fresh steamed broccoli ( all delicious BTW).... it seemed pretty expensive.
I wouldn't mind trying it again for a light lunch but the service and portions...
