I went to Quest 1960/Fallbrook yesterday 1/11/22. I do not have insurance and am unemployed. Ashley let me know my labs would cost close to $1700. This was shocking to me. What she did not tell me is Quest is contracted with âWalk-in Labsâ who you can order lab work online at a fraction of standard cost. Nobody offered to tell me this even though we all (Ashley and the nice lady training with her) talked about how shockingly expensive $1700 is for 5-6 tests. I went home, remembered a month ago a nice lady named Joann H. at Quest (same location) told me I can âshop aroundâ for lab work costs, so, I looked up âWalk-in Labsâ and ordered 2 additional labs for a total of $530 vs $1700. Please have the kindness and customer service courtesy to offer this option to people who are trying to seek medical care with no insurance. It takes nothing out of your personal pocket and is a contracted service between Quest and Walk-in Labs. If management is telling employees not to offer this service, shame on you. I went back today 1/12/22 to the exact same Quest location and had the pleasure of seeing Joann H who drew my blood and apologized that no one offered the suggestion of how to obtain affordable lab work. I saved over $1170! Joann H drew my blood back on December 1, 2021 and I only went back to that location because of her previous kindness. You can request by name who draws your blood, I found that out today too. Thanks Joann H, and to the rest of the staff - be kind to your customers, it makes a huge difference in their lives.
Edit- today is 1/23/22 - when I had my blood drawn on 1/12/22 I had an electric shock feeling at my wrist area while the lady drawing blood said the flow of blood stopped, so she had me put my other hand in a fist position under the arm (under elbow area) getting blood drawn from. I have had the shocking nerve feeling since and now after research realize the needle had gone through the vein wall (which is why blood flow stopped during the draw) and had hit my radial nerve. This is rare, but happens, and now my radial nerve gets a shock whenever my arm is placed straight at my side. I had no idea what was occurring during the blood draw, tomorrow I will call to report the nerve damage I am experiencing. If you ever feel a shocking nerve sensation during blood draws, stop the technician immediately because you are experiencing...
Read moreMy daughter was pending a urine analysis and unfortunately this was mishandled by Byron Holcomb I was told by one of the staff members at texas children's. The person in charge of the front desk (Byron)was unprofessional and plain rude. I wasn't give a form to go with the specimen I didn't have one upon arrival when he demanded I had to have one. I guess since Texas children's is across the parking lot from them they always practice this way. However, I did write down my child's D.O.B and full name. When I handed the specimen and the paper to him I asked him if he found her chart and if he needed my insurance information and he said. "I got it". A week later I'm calling Texas children's for results and they don't have my daughter's urine results and aked me if i had taking the sample to quest and confirm the location with me to make sure we were on the same page. Then Texas children's calls quest and they can NOT FIND my daughter's urine cup therefore test was never conducted. This is very disappointing now my daughter's health is at a hold and at a possible risk because of some one not caring enough. I can provide the collection dedicate time and all is not a problem the problem is that all of this time ...TIME is running and being waited instead of Dr. Taking action if something is in fact wrong with my child's health. This a follow up urine exam and the 1st came back positive so this was just to confirm what was suspected on her urine. I van believe some one can be so careless and don't think about twice before doing something so terrible to a little girl and her family. People like this should not be in the medical field and should be reprinted. If serious consequences come about because of this delay someone is going to have to give me some answers. Plz mother's don't go to this location unless you absolutely have to and if so ask to speak to a manager or someone who is going to handle and process your samples...
Read moreI regret visiting this facility with my 1 year old baby. The woman who attended us was very rude. How a person can be so insensitive. My baby was smiling and that lady was just rolling her eyes. As she was getting started, my baby started crying and I thought to calm her down by showing the video. But that lady just shut me down saying, I can do so since I have to held her tight. I had told her that my husband was on the way there. But she refused to wait and proceed without him. That lady couldn't find vein in my baby and asked for help. And second lady came to help who looked much experienced. So she confirmed that the first lady also felt the vein. But second lady let the first lady draw out the blood. OMG, THAT WOMAN INSERTED THE NEEDLE AND DIDNT FEEL THE VEIN. SHE PULLED IT OUT AND AGAIN INSERTED AN INCH NEEDLE INSIDE MY BABY'S ARM. AGAIN, DIDNT FEEL THE VEIN. THEN SHE MOVED THE NEEDLE LITTLE BIT TO THE SIDE. THAT TOOK HER MORE THAN 5 MINUTE. MY BABY WAS TURNING AT ME AND WAS CRYING LIKE ANYTHING. I FELT SO BAD. LATER SHE JUST TOLD ME YOU ARE DONE. DID NOT EVEN TOLD ME WHEN THE RESULT WILL BE READY OR SPOKE A SINGLE WORD TO COMFORT MY BABY. JUST SAID YOU ARE DONE. I WAS SO SHOCKED THAT I LEFT SAYING THANK YOU EVEN AFTER GETTING SUCH A HORRIBLE TREATMENT. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR WORK, WHY DONT YOU JUST QUIT.
PEOPLE DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. OR AT LEAST I AM NOT GOING THERE FOREVER. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE 0 STAR. THE STAFFS ARE COLD HEARTED AND VERY VERY...
