We first tried Pharoah's Kitchen through a delivery service because we saw they offered a lamb burgers and that is something lacking in the Houston area. We were so impressed by that and the garlic cheese curds, we felt the need to visit the brick and motor so we could give the full menu a good look. Our meal began with pickle fries, a unique take on fried pickles. Shaped like traditional French fries, the pickles are coated in a seasoned breading and fried to crispy perfection and served with the obligatory ranch dip and a delightful garlic dip unlike any i have seen or tasted before. My husband ordered the gyro platter with fries, I had the chicken/lamb kofta kabob platter with tabouleh salad. First thoughts, everything is FRESH! The meat a d vegetables are tender and seasoned well but not overwhelmingly. The tabouleh salad had a bright, citrus flavor that played nicely with the chicken and lamb kabobs. Since I can never resist dollars, and my husband doesn't care for them (weird, I know) I placed an order to go. Around 2am, I found myself indulging in a delightful middle of the night snack that did not disappoint! Overall, if you enjoy Mediterranean food, this is a must try place. The service is friendly and knowledgeable and the owner took the time to visit our table to see how we were doing, even though they were getting pretty slammed at the time. I look forward to going back and trying more items from the menu. Thank you Trvinia for taking such...
Read moreWe recently visited Pharaohs restaurant with a large group, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere made us feel right at home.
The food was absolutely incredible — we enjoyed a generous spread that included koshari, falafel, foul, a hearty vegetarian plate, and perfectly seasoned beef and chicken dishes. Every bite was packed with authentic flavors and made with obvious care and passion. The koshari was a standout with its comforting blend of lentils, rice, and crispy onions, and the falafel was some of the best we’ve ever had — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside.
The service was top-notch despite our big group. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a place that can handle a large party so smoothly while maintaining such a high level of food and service.

Read moreI took my wife here for her birthday. She wanted some light options and I wanted something heavier. This place accommodated both.
The menu has a decent variety of small and large dishes from small salads to multi-person platters. The Egyptian slant to the food was also appreciated as they offered menu items I had not seen at other Mediterranean places.
The pricing is also very attractive. The serving sizes are generous relative to the cost so we felt we were getting a lot of value. Not to mention the quality and flavor were top notch. I highly recommend trying the dolmades appetizer.
There is seating for single diners, small groups, as well as large. The atmosphere is modern Mediterranean with light culturally relevant music playing.
The only small issue is location. It's tucked at the end of a lot whose entrance is three storefronts away. If you miss this on 1960 it's hard to turn back around. So please pay attention otherwise you'll miss out on a...
