Located on 1960 and North Eldridge just off of hwy 290
Well lighted parking lot. No visible security. Plenty of parking. Nice additional services easily available in parking lot such as a drycleaner, Petco, Kohls, restraunts, ECT.
The inside of the store is clean and well kept for an older store.
The produce section is laid out well , kept well stocked, and produce in very good shape.
There.is a flower department. Well done, limited in size.
Bakery is very clean , small and compact. Reccomended you go early in the day if you need bakery as they sell out quickly.
The meat deptartment is one of the better ones I have seen in a Krogers. Well stocked and kept immaculate.
Only once in the butcher shop could I smell the fish, and when they were told about it they cleaned up and found source of smell right away.
The restrooms here are exceptional . Very clean, well stocked, in working order, no smell, and easily handicapped accessible.
The one issue, there is never enough checkers, and I believe this is a problem everywhere. However as a general rule , and I have been there at all different times the most checkers I have seen at any given time is 2. And this was during a super busy time. All self check out in use and lines were super long. There is rarely any baggers either.
During this peak time the checker we were with was busy speaking to two of her friends and kept making mistakes since she was not focused. ( double rang up items)
Now even though this was not the best experience I will say other times we have gone to this particular store there is one checker who is always there and we have developed a repore with . And you do look forward to the friendly face. She always makes you feel glad you...
Read moreWe have been shopping in a Kroger for over 30 years now, and I must say, this is the worst location of the Kroger franchise. I was doing pick up orders, and after the third problem, I spoke to a manger to make sure my order was correct upon arrival. I was told my order was ready early, so I went to pick it up, and after waiting 25 mins in the pick up spot, I had to go in and speak to someone. When the worker (aka teenager) delivered my order at my feet and said "there". I then had to go back to the front and grab the cart and return to the spot just to load my groceries and take them out. Then the same worker (aka teenager) was delivering to the next car beside me (which arrived well after i was there, I was trying to back up to leave and her cart was i guess behind my car. The snowflake went and informed the manager that i was trying to run her over? The management and the staff are horrible, and this location needs new management to turn things around. The only reason this location is still standing is it is the closest (only grocery) store that is with in 2 miles of numerous subdivision. The location on Jones and Cypress N. Houston is alot better.
It was a blessing in disguise, as I feel less stress having to worry about if my order is correct, or arguing with a teenager over if my order was correct, or if they get their feelings hurt......

Read moreI am writing to bring to your attention a concerning incident that occurred during my recent visit to your establishment. Today, I attempted to send money via Ria at your location, as I have done multiple times in the past. However, I regret to inform you that I encountered significant obstacles in the form of an employee named Dean.
Upon requesting assistance from Dean, he adamantly claimed that the country I intended to send money to was not supported by Ria's transfer services. This statement was false, as I have successfully utilized Ria's services for the same country on previous occasions. Moreover, Dean exhibited a rude and unprofessional attitude throughout our interaction, displaying a blatant disregard for customer service and a refusal to assist me with my transaction.
I must express my disappointment with the level of service provided by Dean, as his behavior not only reflects poorly on Kroger but also jeopardizes the loyalty of customers like myself. If this type of discourteous and uncooperative conduct persists among your staff, I fear that Kroger stands to lose valued patrons.
I kindly request that appropriate measures be taken to address this issue and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. As a loyal customer, I trust that Kroger will uphold its commitment to exceptional service and customer...
