Skystar Nails Spa — Local services in Jersey Village

One star is generous for the level of service I received. I would love to be contacted by the manager about my last visit. The service was jaw droppingly horrible! The spiteful behavior of the employees seemed highly unprofessional and rude. I’ve been going to this establishment, sky star nails for five years, both under the previous management and this one because it’s affordable, and the location is convenient for me. However , I cannot continue to support this business anymore. I’ve never received treatment like this anywhere in my life! I was so appalled at their last behavior, I’ve concluded that it seemed racist and vindictive.

Over the years, they have swayed me from getting the service I want to what they want me to do. If I object, they had an issue. I’ve never been rude to them, but I’ve come to realize that when I express my displeasure or disapproval, they ( Cindy and Kay) have filed, burnt or cut my skin until it bled in order to spite me. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I’ve decided three strikes and you are out. If there is something that went wrong or I didn’t like, and I mentioned it, they talked about me in their language, held it against me, and if I asked a question thereafter, they ignored me. Then to spite me, they have hurt my fingers and toes when cutting, filing, or buffing. Although they’ve unintentionally done so in the past, they have intentionally so as well. People like Kay especially should not be in business. They are plain wicked and dangerous! The way they’ve acted toward me and my family lends me to think they are malicious and or racist. I’ve decided to stay away from this place because their actions are devious and downright hateful for business, they do not...

This place looks nice on the inside, everyone seems pretty nice HOWEVER, I was a little confused as to why there were TWO DIFFERENT ppl working on my nails (1 on each hand). I could see one tech was experienced more than the other. The non experienced tech would mess up and the other tech would have to go over and correct her. I didn't think anything of it until AFTER they had already asked for my card (b4 the paint job). When she was done I compared both hands and they were totally shaped different and some of the lengths were OFF! (Some narrow and longer than the others). There was dried glue around my nails and white paste looking stuff underneath some of them. I didn't really pay close attention until I got home. The following day 1 of my nails broke in half. I went back to have them fix it, but the original tech was not there, so another "tech" called herself fixing it. She even said it was because the nail was done too thin and she would make it thicker for me. While I was there, I asked her to cut the nails down a bit. Needless to say, she "tried" to fix it and made my nails look worse! All uneven & misshapen. She knows she did a horrile job and she felt bad, so she didn't charge me. I got home and removed the nails myself! NEVER AGAIN!!! I'll give my money to a homeless person on the street before I give them another dime. I like the previous ppl who use to work there. First time ever coming to this location. I walked in and they sat me down immediately, so they are able to accommodate walk in's very well. Wendy was my nail tach, and she did an amazing job. She asked me through out the service if it was what I wanted and I'm so in love with how they turned out! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the price.. I paid $70 for a refill and that's kind of a lot in my opinion for a refill. Other than the price I was happy with my service and quality of nails. She totally fixed what Solar Nails on West...
