CHINA INN CAFE — Restaurant in Jersey Village

Never going back! Use to be my family's favorite place to eat for years, however last few times was terrible. The prices went up and food quantity and quality went down. Now you only get one wonton in soup instead of two, spring roll is now much smaller, now only one scoop of fried rice instead of two, hardly any brown sauce on food, you now have to ask if you want the hot mustard sauce and you barely get any. The drink machine has been messed up or broken the last 4 times we were there. The fried rice is sticky and gooey not fresh. I tried to speak to the manager about our experiences and I was very nice about it and he was really rude. He said "you no like our food you no come back" I told him we had been regular customers for years and years. He was still very hateful and rude. I said I just thought you being a manager might want some feedback he repeated no u don't like u no come back. He called me a liar and said they have NEVER raised their price lol and always had one scoop of rice and one wonton etc. He hasn't even been there as long as we have been going! And he is wrong. We asked waiter when they started giving one scoop of rice and he said the manager just now told me to put just one scoop on there today . We were shocked that this person could even call himself a manager. He has no people skills at all and is not professional .We have seen many many managers and waiters come and go and he surely won't be there long either. Obviously they cut down on paper and pens too because waiter wrote nothing down and had to come back to table 3 times to keep asking what we ordered. Also we were the ONLY customers in there at noon on a Saturday which is the norm. The last few times we ate there we were the only people in the building at lunch time. They just lost lifetime customers because of an unntelligent, rude, untrained so called Manager who apparently cares nothing about their business and only cares about cutting the quantity and quality and losing customers. I performed a delivery for this restaurant on yesterday. Upon entering the building I was nose struck by a foul order that smelled of fresh sewer. I requested to use the restroom and the owner refused to allow me stating "restrooms are not for the public customers only" and " I don't want too many people using the restroom"( knowing I'm a partner working on an active delivery). The hallway to the restrooms are blocked off with chairs limiting access. Also, Restaurant doesn't offer hand sanitizer to the public. Be careful where your order takeout Houston, Judging the smell, and being deprived of restroom privileges as a PARTNER I'm thinking there's plumbing an issue.

Update: Owner did report me to Uber. Sad thing is we as drivers help keep his business running, but can't use is his restroom. I’ll never deliver for the company again.

Honestly, I could have purchased a small menu item to be considered a paying customer, but I wouldn't eat anything from this place. I hardly wanted to breathe the air and…. it's FREE!.

Hey everyone, I have to give my honest opinion of this place. OK, I ordered from here about 6 months ago for the first time. I informed them that it was my first time and hoped for them to win me over. As I am new in the area and looking for a place that delivers. I'll give all the great points first. They were great on the phone, took my order with no problem, delivered quickly, the food was hot, the driver was courteous, and the amount of food was plentiful. BUT!!! I didn't care for the flavor of the food at all, I had ordered three different dishes and didn't care for one of them. I was going to write them off. Just the other day I decided I'd like to give them one more chance after all they've got great reviews. So putting my differences aside I gave them another shot. Again courteous order taker, quick delivery, plenty of food...but bland tasteless and disappointing.
