update
Fortunately, on the day I posted this review, I was able to speak to the store staff, and I left a note after receiving a positive response that I would accept the return. I could have thrown away the rice bag, but fortunately, I didn't, so I took the rice bag and sealed container back to the store. I even took the rice I had washed to eat.
However, the response at the store was a little disappointing. Even though this rice mold problem isn't such a rare situation, I was asked some uncomfortable questions about what the problem was when I saw the rice. (It does feel a little bit visible, but it doesn't make it look as if it's moldy on the bread. It's just what I put it on the picture.)
Anyway, after a little uncomfortable conversation, I received the refund safely. (Another absurd experience regarding this. I found out that all the points I had accumulated over the years had gone. I preferably scanned my membership card with each purchase, and to date, I have never been informed that it doesn't work. I'm glad I found out while checking my membership history because the receipt has disappeared. I'm not a heavy buyer, but I'm sure I've gained some points over the years... I'm sorry for this.)
Anyway, I refunded it safely, and I even received a response to this review, so I will raise the star evaluation from one to three.
ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ I bought this rice (Korean product) on 7/21/24.
After that, I bought another California rice 1 week later (on 7/28/24)
Generally I prepared 2 kinds of rices (Korean & American).
I just washed Korean rice and the water color was clearly weird. I washed the California rice in a hurry and compared it. The difference was clear. It is mold that is gray. I called the store and they didn't answer the phone.
So I took a few pictures and started writing this review. Looking back, I remembered that other favorite Korean rice products sold by HMart looked seriously bad. (The plastic clear window on the rice packaging is really useful.) The rice was originally very good, but now I think it must have been stored incorrectly.
It's been a while since I used Korean rice sold at Korean marts in the United States. I usually use 3 types of Korean marts including Hmart. Whenever I buy rice, I always put it in an airtight container and keep it in a cool place.
It is marked that the rice was produced in 2023 and milled in February. It's been a while, probably not purchased in Korea. I can't remember exactly how recent the date was with many other purchases, but this is the first time such a problem has ever occurred.
I ask you to take care of this matter. Please let me know when I can call you to make the call easier.
I will adjust the star rating again after hmart's...

Read moreSo me and my fiancé decided to check out HMART at Johns Creek after working out at Lifetime!!! As we walked around, of course we are curious about some of the items. As I attempted to ask for help the worker ignored me, at first I felt maybe she didn’t hear me, so I politely said excuse me miss, this lady had the nerve to turn her back and walk away like I wasn’t even there!! Me and my fiancé was appalled as we tried again. Same result!! I’m like what the hell is wrong with people. You are at work, you volunteered to work here and you are here to provide customer service. I am a BLACK man who loves establishments that provide great customer service because when I’m at work in corporate America, it’s my job to provide the best service no matter what race a person is. It was well represented that this establishment only welcomes those of a certain race. I don’t understand it!! I was only looking for a specific spice. I am grateful that me and my fiancé are well educated and know how to control our emotions. This establishment does not practice customer service and accepts rudeness based on color. Employees are a direct reflection of management. SO BLACK PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM HMART AT JOHNS CREEK BECAUSE WE ARE NOT WELCOME NO MATTER WHAT LEVEL IN LIFE WE ARE, THE ONLY THING THEY SEE IS YOU KNOW WHAT!!!! Quick tip to HMART STAFF, the better the customer service, the better the customer will be majority of the time. But I’ll spread the word....
