I had such a great experience at Jaws Topokki! I ordered the rose topokki, Korean sausage (soondae), and the deep-fried set—and everything was absolutely delicious. The rose topokki had just the right amount of spice and creaminess, and the texture of the rice cakes was perfect. The soondae was fresh and flavorful, and the fried were crispy without being too greasy.
My favorite is the gimbap. I’ve had a lot of gimbap in my life, but this one was on another level—super generous with the fillings and perfectly rolled. One of the best gimbaps I’ve ever had. The cupbap was also amazing—really filling, and felt like a complete meal on its own.
What made the visit even better was the service. The owner was so warm and friendly. It was a hot day, and they offered me a sikhye slushie on the house to cool down—which was such a nice and thoughtful touch. Little things like that really leave an impression.
Overall, the food was top-notch, the portions were generous, and the vibe was super welcoming. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreAbsolutely loved my visit to Jaws Topokki! I’ve ordered them a few times via Uber but this was my first visit to the store. The food was delicious, and the service truly went above and beyond. I made a special request with my order, and they honored it without hesitation—such a refreshing experience.
I ordered the gimbap lunch box, and it was packed with flavor and variety crispy fried deliciousness, savory spicy pork, and their signature topokki that had just the right amount of heat and chewiness. Every bite was satisfying!
The interior was super clean and well-kept, making the whole dining experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends. Thank you, Jaws Topokki, for a meal that hit the spot and service that made me feel...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill fast. During the grand opening, the food was fantastic, and I had high hopes for its future. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a complete disappointment.
My partner and I were shocked by how much the quality had deteriorated. The sikhye slush had a strange, unpleasant taste, and the main dish, ddeokbokki, was lackluster at best. The fried sides were soggy, as though they had been sitting out for too long.
As I waited for my food, I noticed the lack of foot traffic, and it’s clear why customers are turning away. While the server was friendly and the atmosphere remained inviting, the food left much to be desired.
If this restaurant hopes to regain its former popularity, they need to address the significant issues with their...
