I did NOT have a good experience dealing with this facility and ended up going to different one because of it. When I first called the staff was friendly and responsive. They insisted I schedule my appointment and that they would get the prior authorization in place and call me if there were any issues. I scheduled 2 weeks in advance, and took the day out of work. 1 hour before my appointment they called to say they hadn't gotten prior authorization and my appointment was canceled. Then they said they don't do the prior auth's. I called my doctor and she said XRA normally does it, using the doctors referral & notes. My doctor told me XRA hadn't even requested the notes until January 15th, which was a public holiday. My doctor said XRA had since sent in the prior and we would have an answer in 24 hours. I waited 2 days and called XRA only to get a machine but after leaving 4 messages with no response over several days simply seeking an update I decided this wasn't the right place for me. If they can't handle basic prior authorizations and returning phone calls then I didn't trust the procedure to them. I'm a human being, and whatever the issue was they could have at least kept me in the loop. Not returning numerous phone calls is rude and dehumanizing when a person is in pain and waiting. Read moreI pay a copay for imaging which I paid before having an Ultrasound of my liver done. 3 months later I receive a phone call threatening me with collections for an unpaid bill and that I need to make payment over the phone. I never received a bill and wouldn't have assumed I'd have one because the copay was already paid. So I asked them to resend the bill because what idiot just gives out their credit card info to someone who called them?? So I receive the bill, apparently the procedure was entered as two billing codes ( I was never told this) so requires two copayments. Ok, fine. When was supposed bill dated? 20 days ago????
