I attempted to call to get my stamp collection appraised today. My grandfather and I would work on our own collections. His collections was many books while mine is only a book but with hundreds of stamps. It's has sentimental value to me as he passed away about 10 years ago. My uncle provided me with this number as he's been helping me locate someone to appraise my collection. So my 1st call today, the business hung up on me after I introduced myself - "Hi my is ." Response - " I'm not interested." "Click". 2nd call the same lady answered. Me - "Do you appraise stamp collections?" "Click". 3rd time I called from a different number. "Hi, I'm trying to get my stamp collection appraised and you keep hanging up on me." She raised her voice and insisted I was a telemarketing company calling for who knows what reason and refused to speak with me. I had to raise my voice and argue that I was a caller from the local area asking if her company appraised stamp collections. She was still insisting I was someone she did not want to speak with. I couldn't believe a business of sorts would treat potential customers like that even on the phone. At this point she made her point that my money was no good for John Paul Sarosi, Inc. I hung up on my end. I shouldn't have even called after the 2nd attempt but I've never heard of anyone having to convince any business to want their money. I totally thought it was perhaps a misunderstanding but she made it very clear on the 3rd call they weren't interested in speaking...
Read moreOnly one star? How about zero? Pretty rude but I can live with that but not with bait and switch. If they are that "good at what they do" why was I sold 1921 & 1928 Peace dollars (both Philadelphia mints) as MS-63---but after they were graded by PCGS they came back as AU58 (the 1928) and "AU Details / Cleaned" (1921.) I called Sarosi and asked about this and as soon as she heard the acronym "PCGS" she laughed and said, "it's a game, unless you slip a $100 bill in with the order you don't get any nice grades." I asked her about my coins and she said she would be happy to buy them back for LESS than I paid. To top it all off, this dealer is listed as an "authorized PCGS dealer" which means that they are supposed to live up to the rules and regulations of PCGS and abide by their rules. BEWARE OF...
Read moreEvery business needs customers to thrive. Having great customer service is important to keep customers coming. Looking at all these one star negative reviews and having my own negative experience with this business says alot about both the owners and employees. They dont care much about You or what you want to buy or sell. They are rude, pushy, inconsiderate, and very unprofessional. Never have gone to a place and been treated with complete disrespect. Instead of maybe making a day and time to come back, they got pushy and ignorant because i didnt have all day to get a value on a few coins. Ill take my coins elsewhere. Hope all orher customers read store and business reviews before contacting...
