Me and my husband bought carpet for 4 rooms hallway and 2 set of stair plus life proof vinyl for our dinning room. We both told them that this was our first home and first time buying flooring. Today the contractor shows up to do the vinyl in the dinning room. He rips up all my flooring and promptly tells me that the floor is uneven and that it is going to be a big job to even it out. I was like ok but we had Home Depot send someone out to measure and was told when we were setting this up that they would let us know if there would be a problem. Then he tells me itâs going to be an additional 1,400 to be able to put my floor in. And the kicker they sent white trim that doesnât match anything and since my flooring is going to go up higher to level it that they would have to take my base boards off which mind you is not white. So we had to get new base boards. When I called the store the first time my husband asked to speak to a manager and a guy named Brian told my husband he is a manger which we found out later he is not. He explains the break down to my husband then we finally get a manger named Nairobi who explains she might be able to do something but unfortunately thereâs a disclaimer about unforeseen event. That funny this is the first time Iâm hearing about this. Why wasnât that explained to me before you got 5k from me. Iâm told that now when Iâm standing on my subfloor. So pretty much you have me by the balls right? So she calls back says she can do 940 instead of the 1400 so I call corporate they pretty much say the same thing that thatâs why they have a disclaimer because itâs unforseen. I understand that the floor needs to be level but is it too hard to explain to me that there could be an extra charge for leveling or something. And that your not saying the floor is in level but worse case scenario you may need to pay anywhere from a couple hundred to possible a couple thousand. So I have a heads up instead of standing on a subfloor now having to come up with more money for a job I thought I paid for already. This is a terrible company and a terrible store they were great before they got 5k from me and now they donât care. I will never buy anything from this company or store again. This day was suppose to be a happy/exciting day and you have completely ruined it and made it a terrible...

We are spending thousands of dollars building a fence and had been buying everything here due to my veterans discount. We rented a 1 man auger on Friday and the first man we dealt with I believe his name was George was phenomenal. It wasnât enough for the job we were doing so we returned in and rented a 2 man auger. The first issue arose when my contractor could r return the auger because they said my card declined. My contractor had to stand there for 45 minutes while I drove there because they would not take a payment over the phone. Upon my arrival I paid with the card they said was declining, on the drive there I called the bank and they bank did not show any attempt to run the card or a declined transaction. The grumpy man in the Air Force hat Saturday morning then lectured me that I rented a 2 man auger that was for sale, as if I choose the auger when I reserved it on the app. Once we got it to the house as soon as they attempted to insert it in the ground it bogged down and completely quit working, keep in mind this machine had a price tag on it that had to be removed for us to take. I immediately called the store and told them what was going on, I stated that I did not want to pay for the rental as we werenât even able to get a single hole done. The man on the phone said no problem, just bring it back and we will take care of it. Today we bring the auger back and are still charged over $100, the manager, Diamond told us âmy people take good notes and no one left me a note,â even after being shown the call log time and phone call that took place yesterday. I am returning all of the panels and 4x4s and concrete and taking my business to Loweâs. There is zero customer service, this whole ordeal has wasted 3 days and several hundred dollars and I donât even have 3 fence post...
Read moreWhen I called the rental desk, I was told they had everything I needed on the shelf ready to go. When I arrived, the tool I need didn't have the extension required. Luckily, the guy that had rented the part I needed showed up right then. Small mix up, but almost wasted a forty minute round trip.
The guys at the desk were apologetic. Once I got the tool, they explained how to run it and told me I could scan the QR code on the machine to get a manual. That works for me, but I do think a paper manual should come with heavy equipment.
The rental does not include insurance in case you break the tool. So make sure you figure that into the price. They don't tell you until you're checking out. You don't have to pay it, but.. on a thousand dollar tool, what's ten bucks in case you break it? Right?
They helped me load no problem, even helped me load items I had purchased, which was really nice. When dropping the machine off, an older man was alone at the counter and asked me to bring the eighty pound machine in on my own. He didn't argue when I told him he was helping me.. but if he can't lift he shouldn't be renting tools out at the counter. Rarely do two people leave a job to go shopping together.
Altogether I'm happy with the process. Even the older man that had trouble lifting wasn't rude about it. Everybody was courteous. Home Depot really shouldn't be charging extra for insurance on a rental. It seems very "hidden fees" for a hardware store. A strange rental policy others should...
