They say big heart I say yeah right. I tried to visit this place to get some Christmas gifts but as soon as I stepped in the gental man working rudly told me I had to have a mask in there establishment. With the mandatory mask rule lifted and from being out of town. I did not have one with me and could not just go get one or come back the next day. I polity asked if they had one and again was told rudly no we do t and that I would have to leave. I understand everyone has the right to require mask in there own business but they don't have the right to be rude about it and maybe they should consider having a box on hand if they are going to require them when no one else is. I would have even paid for one but instead was greeted with rudeness so I will be keeping my business to vintage stock and others like it.
Edit: after writing this review I went back and read other people's reviews and it would appear that two and 3 years ago they had all good reviews but in the last year they have all been bad stating the same thing that the stuff (I'm assuming owner since he still has a job) is rude very rude and unhelpful they haven't responded to any of the reviews or apologized for there behavior. I wish I would have read the other reviews before...
Read moreSuper disappointed. Was passing through on a trip north from Oklahoma. Looked like a cool store so I decided to stop. I immediately saw the mask required sign and was disappointed because I didn’t have one.
I’m not faulting a private business for making that decision. It’s well within their right to do so. I just wish they would have had cheap masks to hand out to those who arrived without one. I probably would have spent money in the store. Very few places require masks anymore and I did not have one with me.
I also felt like the worker was shaming me for not already having one. I arrived 5 minutes after they opened and it appeared as if there was only one worker in the building and no customers at the time. When I saw the sign, I opened the door, covered my mouth and nose with my shirt asking if they had a mask. To which the worker replied “nope.” Seeing that no one else was in the store, I asked “so, I can’t come in?” And was again responded to with a “nope.”
Giving 2 stars because It looks like it was a cool store with a good selection. Really disappointed I didn’t get to...
Read moreMy visit to this establishment was a long shot at best. I didn't think it would have what I was shoping for but the place sounded interesting so to Hurley's.
I was correct it did not have the vintage boards game for which I shopped. The associates rudely and immediately told me masks were required. Then when I was masked, and not quite so rudely, the associate inquired if I needed any assistance. My answer was a false no. I would of gotten some assistance, I was just afraid the associate would of lost more than the two stars and I dislike giving small businesses bad reviews.
The selection of RPG materials, particularly D&D, was good. Plenty of Magic cards, and some beautiful dice sets. I would even think that they were able to find it if they didn't Hasbrouck it in RPGs. I think the shop was well tended but the customer service...
