With great reluctance, I gave into my mother’s encouragement to check out Lovie’s for a wedding dress. “It’s right here in Joplin, so convenient, we can Dan met on our lunch breaks, and just see if they have anything.” “Fine, but I’m probably not going to find anything, they’re all going to look the same, but poofy white balls of fluff.” Wow, am I glad I went in. Immediately, one caught my eye. The color, the lace, the beading, all the tulle: it was magical. I didn’t think it would fit, since they say dresses run small, but I tried it on and it fit LIKE A GLOVE and looked amazing!It was like it was made for me! Some kind of destiny was involved I think.☺️I told my sisters to meet me there after work so I could still have my “wedding dress experience” with them, and of course one or them showed up with a bottle of champagne and Dixie cups! 😆 The sales girl was so sweet, helpful, and definitely patient with my loud and silly entourage, and I walked out of there with a gorgeous dress in perfect condition, at 25% of the original retail cost, as well as two stunning little flower girl dresses that matched and were $10 each. I went back a few days before my wedding to buy a basket for my little ladies as well. 100% recommend checking out Lovie’s! You may not find your dress, but it doesn’t hurt to look! And you just might get lucky like i did and find the dress of your dreams (the dress you didn’t even KNOW you wanted! 😆), save a TON of money, and do good by helping out a local business and reducing, reusing, and...

The lady is so down to earth, alot of places my fiance and I had checked out were so "stuffy" but not the case here. She was super helpful and even let me take a pic in the dress so I could see how it photographed which other places frown on...Also, when it came down to which 2 wedding dresses I liked she gave her honest opinion on which one looked better which was the less expensive one, alot of places would of have tried to upsell me on the more expensive one. They had a good selection for being such a small store. I know in downtown Joplin it's going to be hard finding a parking place but it was absolutely awful. I'm luckily a healthy 34 year old woman, but I think about others who might not be able to walk that much or be on oxygen or something and I can't imagine how hard that would be on them. I went once and they were supposed to be open, but they weren't, and I had to park 2 blocks away, to turn around and walk back. Other than the parking situation, I'd say it's...
