Mardick Furniture & Appliance — Local services in Joplin

We bought a new speed queen washer and dryer set here at Mardick Furniture & Appliance after relocating to Joplin. Speed Queen as a brand is only sold in authorized dealers and not in big box stores so the only options in Joplin are here and Metro.

At first glance the other store would have the lower price but after their add ons Mardick is clearly the more cost effective choice. While the other guy charges for delivery, charges for the appliance connections / hookups, and charges for installation Mardick gives you all that for free. Included in their price is delivery, install, and connections. No other store in town can beat that.

As far as our sales experience it was pleasant. There was no pressure and Jim, our salesman was professional and knowledgeable. But where Mardick really shines is delivery. Doug and his teammate delivered our washer and dryer, and installed it perfectly. Unfortunately there was an issue with one of the washer hoses about an hour after install. It would drip as the hose wasn’t sealing to the connector. I called the store and within 5 minutes Doug called me back from his next delivery and said he’d be back to our house asap. Within an hour they were back in our home, replaced the leaky hose, cleaned up, and ran a test cycle to ensure it was just a bad hose.

I always try to support local businesses and I feel like I definitely made the right choice choosing Mardick. Their customer service and care for the customer is unmatched. If you are in the market for appliances then Mardick should definitely your one...

I don’t usually write reviews, but this was by far one of the best shopping experiences I have had in a very long time. I felt no pressure at any time, rather felt welcomed and as if he was invested in finding what worked best for ME! It felt more like talking to a new friend than a sales person. Delivery was arranged completely at my convenience, and the first question asked when they arrived was if I had any furniture they could move for me! Who does that any more?! Just closed on my house today, and stopped by to look at the two sets of washers and dryers they had in the store. My daughter, fiance and I walked in, looked, and headed right back out to the car because we were in a hurry to go get groceries. One of the workers walked out to our car telling us he was incredibly sorry that there wasn't more washers/dryers to view because inventory was low, but that he had more in the back if we were interested. The man was incredibly nice and respectful. I'll definitely be heading back sometime soon to purchase furniture from them just because of his kind...
