Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Joplin

I had got a smoothly there it was good but it had lots of sugar added ,,so the next time I went in to get one I ask if they put sugar in them,,,The boy said yes but its pure sugar and got very defensive .I ask can I get a smoothy without you adding sugar.He said yea..The next time i ask about the produced listed on there sign of the things they add to smoothies for a dollar each ....I was wanting to learn more about them items and the boy got real pissy with me again for asking ..it was like a waist of his time to talk about it..Other times the boy has got lippy with me for asking any questions at all .One of the employees I have known for many years told me that that Boy is the owners family member and many of the workers don't like him.. THEY SAID HE IS RUDE TO OTHERS ALSO.....When a place sells stuff and people ask QUESTIONS because they're interested in buying more if they understand what they are buying they should not have to deal with a smart mouth person like that...WHAT THAT SMART MOUTH KID DOES IS AGAINST WHAT THE PLACE IS TRYING TO DO ..THAT IS SELL EXTRA THINGS WITH THERE SMOOTHIES.I KNOW 3 CHINESE PEOPLE THAT won't go there anymore for the way he treated them cause they could not read English well enough to order from the OVERHEAD menu..They showed me a better smoothly place and they all go...

I’ve tried most of Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s standard prepared smoothies, and they’re consistently delicious! My personal favorites are the Mango Monsoon and the Island Green — perfect for a hot day when you need something cold, sweet, and refreshing. Their bowls are also tasty, and when they run promotions like buy one smoothie or bowl, get the other free, that’s when you really get the best value.

That said, the regular prices are steep: $6–$8 for a smoothie and $9–$12 for a bowl feels high. I’ve sampled some of their other food options, but in my opinion, they’re not very good — and there’s no beef on the menu, which is a disappointment for me.

The service here is the best you can get. Put in your order on the app and go grab it. Always ready at the promised time and no need to interact with the employees, which makes everything so smooth. I really appreciate this way of service delivery and wish all other food establishments followed this approach.

I go to tropical smoothie on main street in joplin faithfully and have for a while. Up until today i had a very pleasant experience. I normally get a smoothy and they give me the extras in a cup . I thought that was awesome to ensure i was getting all of what i paid for considering i added vitamins in mine. I went in today and a girl named i believe Emma took my order and i had asked for the extras and she said that you had "changed the policy " on giving the extras ... i replied to her that i was just their yesterday and they always give it to me .it doesnt make sense to throw out what i paid $9.00 for. She replied " we cant give it to u sorry " . She was really kinda rude. I had to ask other employees her name bc she was not wearing her name badge. Not very professional at all. I have always had really nice encounters...
