My husband reached out to this company and because my washer machine was leaking during the rinse cycle. When Dave showed up to my house I explained to him my situation and I told him the leak was not from the back or the hot and cold water pipes because I had someone come out and they tighten them. He was not really knowledgeable about my washer. He was here for about 2 hours "diagnosing" my issue. He then proceeded to tell me the issue WAS indeed that the hot and cold water pipes were not connected right which is causing the water to leak during the rinse cycle. He charged me $100 for that and told me he would come back to fix the issue another day since he came 2 days before Christmas. When he came back he replaced the pipes charged me almost $200 and said it wasn't leaking I was happy because I could finally wash. Well the next day I washed a load and it leaked during the rinse cycle. We called him back and he said " I fixed the leak I found. I can come back out but I will have to charge". Respectfully, we declined. My husband is in the military. He is currently deployed and I was 9 months pregnant at the time. We had 3 small children and like I said we were awaiting a baby so our funds were extremely low. Well we went without a washer for 2 months. We ended up saving enough and reached out to Sears. When Sears came I explained to the technician the same thing. He was here for only 20 mins! He explained to me with the washer machine I have when the water drains during the rinse cycle it goes through the front of the washer. Thats exactly where I told Dave the water was coming from. The Sears tech opened my washer and found a SOCK blocking the drain. A sock. The Sears tech told me he feels that I was taken advantage of. Which I was. So I said all this to say. If you have a newer washer machine this company is not the way to go. He was not honest with not knowing how to fix my washer. Save your money and just go with a more reputable...
Read moreVery misleading! Search for appliance repair in Riley KS. Found "American Appliance Repair" with a very nice automated appointment scheduling software. Seems very professional. Called them (later found out the number goes to "Mick's Appliance Service") and apparently woke the gentleman up at 10am. He didn't seem to know what I was talking about when I complemented him on the scheduling software. He then said "oh that Google thing.... yeah sorry I don't check that often" I told him a friend was having problems with her Samsung washer I. Riley, KS he said he was available today to look at. He gave me a reasonable service charge and mileage of $80 to look at it. But, then told me if the problem was "electronical... he dont do that" I was caught off guard by this and asked if he meant like if a circuit board was bad he'd just replace it and not diagnose the board? He said "no if it's a switch or relay or something, I don't really do that" My friend called him an hour later to ask more questions and said he did t remember talking to me and that he doesn't do anything...
Read moreI had left Dave a message over the weekend, and he called back Monday morning; I missed his call but he left me a message. When I called him back and explained what was going on with the washer, he got us on his schedule for the next day. He was punctual, friendly, and patient with my million questions (I’m always very curious about the inner workings of things and what’s gone wrong and why). He also leveled it when putting it back because I hadn’t been able to get that one leg lowered. And the biggest thing is that our washer is now working! I will call him out again the next time we have an issue with an appliance. Also, he does do service calls...
