Reviews of this nature are truly sad for me to post but need to be done in order for improvement to take place. This Goodwill at the Jupiter location has progressively declined over the past few years. With each visit, we see less and less stock of items within the store and increased pricing of those items. When donating items, even items that have never been used and are in new or gently used condition, they refuse to take them. As a thrift store who advertises their mission is to help others in need, one would think they would be grateful that other people are donating free items for them to profit off of. This happens at different times of the year where we have been turned away for various reasons from donating multiple times with various items. This same situation has happened to other people we know as well and always at this location. We are not sure if this is coming from whoever is in charge of this particular branch location or coming from corporate. The employees working the donation area are not pleasant whatsoever and make you feel as if you are burdening them. We then take our items to other Goodwills in surrounding areas (when we can't donate to other thrift stores who directly help those in need), which are always very appreciative to accept our donations and are always extremely pleasant. I have been, and will continue to, encourage others to donate to surrounding thrift and consignment stores where the proceeds do not directly benefit the wallets of the corporate heads, but instead help those individuals in need, like many other thrifts in our area do. (Habitat for Humanity, Furry Friends, Our Sister's Place, etc.) As mentioned above, reviews like these are never pleasant to write but it is my hope that this will bring about a positive change to...

Goodwill Jupiter Super Store & Donation Center
I am a small business owner in a retail customer service related business.
I have been a customer at the Goodwill store for seven years and a Gold Club member for about five years.
My wife and I donate all our unwanted clothing and household items to the Jupiter store.
I always round up at the register.
I am not a reseller.
I enjoy shopping at Goodwill for unique items you could never find in a retail store.
On Saturday August 26th the Jupiter store had a 50% off all items day.
I found a very unique item I wanted to purchase. No price tag on the item.
I asked a back room associate to price the item. I was told that is against Goodwill corporate policy and that the item would be repriced and placed back on the shelf the following day.
I went back to Goodwill Jupiter the following day and as promised the item was back on the shelf and priced. I asked the Manager, Kyle, if he would honor the 50% Off from the previous day when I attempted to purchase the item and he said No as corporate policy did not allow him to do so.
Couple of thoughts.
That the manager of the facility does not have the discretion to make a situation right for a loyal customer is just bad business.
The customer service "vibe" at the Jupiter Goodwill has deteriorated noticeably in the past year or two as has the inventory, the pricing, and the general cleanliness of the store.
Associates appear to me to be much less willing to engage customers and when I engage an associate they have this "please don't talk to me" attitude. Not that they don't want to, but as if they are afraid to engage.
Employee morale seems low.
One exception has been Joanne at the register. She is always very pleasant...
