Didn’t like the food but impressed with their customer service.

I have been to this chain twice, once at this location, and I can say with confidence I will not be eating at Bolay again.

My first visit I came in without researching the menu online, which was a big mistake. Because they have a Chipotle style “build your own meal” concept, mixed with a “health-food” concept, I was confronted by a variety of choices that I had no idea how to combine to taste good. With the giant line of people waiting behind me, I didn’t have the luxury of time to make up my mind. When I did sit down to eat the monstrosity I had created, I was very disappointed in the taste. I’m sure it was healthy, but it was a bad meal.

I tried Bolay again today. This time I went with one of their recommended combinations, called “fire in the bowl”. After one bite of each of the items included, the bowl went into the trash. First, the shrimp I was served was clearly undercooked. It was obviously still translucent and should not have been served. Full credit to their management staff and customer service as when I told the mngr that my shrimp were undercooked they immediately refunded my meal. The veggies were cooked fully, but none of them actually tasted good, or tasted like they belonged together.

From the other reviews it seems that many people apparently enjoy the food served here, so I guess it works well for some folks and not others. This place is worth a try, but if you don’t like what you ordered it may not be worth trying a...

Stopped by to take some dinner to go for two. The woman who was serving food around 6:12 pm on 1/13/25 was extremely rude for no reason. We never come to bolay so we weren’t familiar with ordering. We asked for regular bowls. The lady asked if we wanted anything else while standing in front of the proteins. We thought she meant extra protein and said no thanks. And she proceeds to close our bowls and walk quickly to the register. There was a couple next to us infront of the toppings, so we figured once they moved she’d ask for our toppings. As she’s at the register, I say “can I have a side of this sauce.” She looked so annoyed and told the other girl ringing out on the register loudly “I ASKED THEM IF THEY WANTED ANYTHING ELSE AND THEY SAID NO UGH.” I said we just want the little sauces on the side since I didn’t want to make more work for her to get any of the toppings. she grabbed them annoyed and pushed them toward the cashier as she moved back to serve other customers. I hope someone talks to her and lets her know she should be kinder to customers. It was our first time here and didn’t make us feel welcome. Hopefully when we return she is more understanding that some people don’t regularly visit bolay and there were people right next to us and we thought they would finish with them before they worked on our bowls. We both work in customer service and get dealing with people can be hard but no reason to be rude to...

Great good. I've eaten there almost every day since I tried it this past Monday. It's a little expensive for some reason.

I walked in at 12:20 no one in line. I was able to get the first few items in the bowl but when it came to the steak I was on hold for 25 mins. Naturally it takes awhile to cook the food however, the portion of steak I was getting was double and I was prioritized last when it came to mobile orders and also when someone was getting a single portion of steak. I took off 2 stars for this Eva use this has happened a couple of times. I stopped going to chipotle because the quality of service and food degraded for the amount of food that was given for the price. I started eating here 3 years ago and I really liked the food. It’s a little pricey but I’m willing to pay for quality. Since there was no one in line or mobile orders that weren’t being fulfilled when I started my order, I’ll have to inform anyone coming here to be aware that the potential for waiting for what seems to be for the protein of steak to have to wait some time in order to get quality food. I was given a free beverage and that helps a little but time is something you can’t get back. I’ll change my rating if this gets better. And I do realize that my opinion is subjective but it is my opinion...
