Oh goodness, do I ever love Aldi and its AOS (Aisle of Shame). I also love its low food prices, but that should be obvious to people who already shop there. The Kannapolis location is always clean, and the employees are super nice. I hate that they start putting out the new non-food items halfway through Tuesday instead of Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. If I dare go in on a Tuesday afternoon, the Aisle of Shame is empty and boring, either because other shoppers went crazy or the employees took everything down. Then, on Wednesday morning, the universe forbid something from arriving that’s “amazing.” Shoppers are crazy. 🤪 Those Aldi Facebook groups get everyone hyped, and you have to line up before opening to get what you want. I don’t work, so if I also like it, it’s not the end of the world, but it’s still an insane situation. Anyway, back to the store review. I highly recommend the Aldi in Kannpolis, NC. Except for the new self-checkout situation. How dare I prefer to pay with cash… Then I must wait in line at the only human-manned check out lane....
Read moreI gotta say I like shopping at aldis, the store brands aren't half bad. They have take and bake pizzas thin crust 16". The coffee prices are hard to beat, I think it's around $3.50 for a 10 count of k-cups. I enjoy their pop tart knock offs (chocolate fudge, Smores, and strawberry) I also enjoy their yogurt tilts, knock off of flips, the only downside is they only have key lime and coconut. I don't hear any complaints about the whole milk and I drink vanilla soy, didn't care for their almond milk. Oh and the Clancy's chips mainly the kettle style Nashville hot chicken and Cuban sandwich flavored chips are awesome!! They didn't have for a week and I was getting worried. That's enough...
Read moreThere were two lines open and we went to the one with the shortest line and the woman tells us we need to move to the other line and so we go to the other line and start putting groceries on the counter and the woman just stares at us in disgust instead of scanning the groceries like you’re supposed to. So after waiting for all our groceries to be put on the counter she starts scanning and puts the stuff in a cart and then when we leave she asks to give her the other cart and didn’t sound polite about it at all. Also it seems that every time I shop here, their lines are long because they only have one register open so expect to be waiting a while if you do decide...
