I had 2 occurrences at south cannon location Kannapolis on 2 separate dates. The first one was about a month before the most recent. First time standing on line with baby in arms for roughly 20 mins and get to register and lady says sorry sir we aren’t taking to go orders after she just gave someone togo order to another guest. The second instance Christmas Day baby in arms again not terribly busy lot of staff. Everyone stares no one says anything to me. Stood on line for again roughly 20 minutes I’m first person at register not a single employee acknowledges me. They look never say a word baby is getting heavier at this point. 2 men standing behind me lady at register cleans bar off they sit and she says to them would u like to place a Togo order never acknowledges me. I walk out I spoke to Ashley Davis division manager. Both times he apologizes me and tells me he will send a gift card for both occurrences it’s not February never received a thing. Seems like upper management is as unreliable as staff. Honestly don’t care about gift cards at this point. I won’t return. Ashly I’m a nursing supervisor as well. I will tell you this is unprofessional. I don’t want anything from Waffle House I just won’t return. My money is good anywhere. I don’t want a phone call or a letter or anything from Waffle House. Thank you! Update haven't been back since it's...
Read moreBack in November my brother and I stopped here on our cross country road trip because I wanted to try Waffle House. We went at 1am. I think the whole time we were there maybe 2 other people came in to eat. There were 3 staff members. An older gentleman, a woman I wanna say in her late 20s who had kids and worked 3 jobs, and a girl who I want to say was named Zena or at least something similar to that. My brother and I spent around an hour there talking to them about their lives and it was really eye opening to hear about coming from someone who grew up in Western Washington. Their struggles were things I could never imagine and yet my mom raised me and my 2 siblings alone for 4 years and was better off financially. These people work for a couple bucks an hour and have to hope for tips. In Washington the same job would be 15 an hour plus tips. Listening to Zena was really my best/worst memory from my trip. She deserves a lot better than what she’s struggling with. I’m not 100% certain this was the Waffle House we ate at, but I know it was one in Kannapolis. If someone knows who I’m talking about or if Zena herself sees this. I just want her to know she truly impacted how I view the world. You are incredibly kind and I hope you’re able to get out of this part of your life and move on to the things I could tell you...
Read moreMy family usually comes to this specific Waffle House at least once a week. We all know what we want before we get there. Last night was absolutely horrible!! We waited over 45 mins to get our food...in pieces...that was cold...and wrong. That has never happened before there. We usually have good service and the staff is usually very good. When I say pieces, I mean, a side of sausage (first thing after 45 minutes) that was cold. The waitress came up with 1 of the 2 waffles we ordered that was solid burnt. She even said "is this too burnt?". Every single thing we got was cold or wrong and none of it at the same time. There was another group of 3 that came in. They were served and gone before we got cold sausage. The guy "cooking" was on his cell phone the whole time and never changed gloves between phone calls and cooking. Our waitress was nice but had no idea what was going on. The other waitress looked high but she always looks like that. We avoid her section because of past experience. It was super cold inside. I asked if the heat was on or could be turned on. Her response was "it's on but it's broken and only blows cold air". We will most likely go back because 1 bad experience doesn't mean they are all bad. Whoever is in charge of training and scheduling might want to reevaluate some stuff. It was...
