Big Lots — Local services in Kannapolis

The costumer service was awful! The first time I went there was fine I bought the furniture I needed at Full price paid the whole thing, I went in right at 8PM mind you they close at 9PM and all the employees were just staring at my family and I as we were waiting for help to get a new couch they walked past us and didn’t ask if we needed help, when clearly we did! When I went up to the cashier who was doing nothing (mind you there was only one other customer in the whole store) and she turned her back on me and ignored me! I said excuse me several times and nothing another employee came and saw me and she proceeded to ignore me as well and talk to the lady who turned her back on me and I said excuse me is there anyone who can help us with the furniture and the lady who turned her back on me and ignored me mummers to the other lady that the guy left! So we’re just standing there with literally $900 in cash to pay full price on a couch and they ignored us instead of letting f us know the employee that handles the furniture left. Was my 1st time in this Big Lots. I do like to go into all Big Lots' due to each 1 being different. It was definitely a tad more different than most I've been in out of the states I've been to. This 1 had kids bikes in them & many other nice things in it. I went in about an hour to closing & I didn't get to see all the Isles due to looking in all of their DVD shelves. From what I saw it looked well maintained. I'll continue to go back here each month to see what all I find to take home with me. I did notice that some of the movie prices were different from other Big Lots' prices. Ranged from a dollar more than I paid in Salisbury's to paying as low as $0.75 for a DVD. Best price for a DVD I've ever seen in any store maybe. Granted it was a kids/family movie I never heard of but it was a good movie. I'm sure it may have sat in their store long enough to get dropped down to that very low price but I enjoyed it.

Their staff seemed nice, I know the cashier I spoke to was.

So overall a very good Big Lots. Might change my review if it seems to top my best experiences for a Big Lots store. But by far not the worst...

Came in 3 hours before closing to purchase a recliner after 10 mins of deciding (no one to be found.) I made my decision to purchase a recliner over $400 after waiting for an associate I was approached by two employees which one looked like a manager not knowing what to do. After being told they had the one I wanted in stock I was than told by the manager? That it was "At the top" and he "didn't feel like getting it down tonight" that it would he better for me to come in next morning day. Terrible business practice and horrible customer service.
