Fareway Meat Market — Local services in Kansas City

Very wide selection for how small the place is! Love their meat counter! Comparable prices. Of the staff I have met thus far very friendly and well worth the extra 10 minutes or so without traffic it takes to get there. They are closer than whole foods, cheaper than whole foods, and their meat counter is at least 3 times larger than whole foods. Not only that but their quality seems to be better than whole foods. Much preferred over trader Joe's if I'm grabbing meat or just about anything meat related. This store's focus is their meat counter! Other than trader Joe's and whole foods I cannot think of another store to compare them to! Will be going here for many items from now on! So glad they moved closer as I never have business in the other parts of they metro that they moved to. This is a welcomed addition to the northland. They have built a whataburger QT starbucks around the store and have at least 2 more stores going in. It is the ideal location if you live in kc north gladstone liberty and dare I say even excelsior springs and Smithville the like. Price chopper got to diluted. Hyvee got to big to fast and have not scaled up their work force. This place has the staff the inventory and the way to do business in the Midwest down to a t. We recently visited your nice store in KCMO near Liberty. However, we wanted to make a suggestion. This display of shot bottles is located beside the cash register as the last display for impulse purchases. I'm sure you make a lot of money from these liquor sales, but those bottles end up being consumed while in the car, and then thown out on 152 highway. We work with the Northland Community Cleanup Group, that picks up trash along 152, 435, I-29, & 169. You can't imagine how many of these bottles end up as litter on our highways and thoroughfares. When we've had cleanup events, we have found hundreds of these bottles. Not only are they causing plastic pollution, but they are also contributing to drinking while driving. We wish retailers would consider halting the sales of these shot-sized bottles. Please consider the impact they are making to the environment, and to the number of car accidents, as the next most frequent thing we pick up on the highways are wrecked car parts.
