L1 Massage — Local services in Katy

I’m giving 2 stars because the employees were very nice seemingly at least and I’d hope my situation right now was a mistake and not what I think happened. Me and my friend came for a massage here last minute because everywhere else was booked. Their massages are $80 which is already more than I usually pay for an hour massage.I came in for a pain relief massage i did ask for more pressure to be used on my massage so I won’t fault them for leaving bruises on my back. My friends massage was good. We go to the front to pay and I’m charged to use the card reader which is no problem and I left a tip written on the receipt. They then asked my friend to tip them and even requested a specific amount as a tip. Which is very bad taste to do as tips are to be decided by the customer not by the employees. Let alone to request a 15% tip on top of a 3.00 charge on the card reader and $80 for the massage? Now 2 days later i have a charge on my debit card for a higher amount than what I paid and wrote for a tip. My theory is they wanted a bigger tip and gave it to themselves on my transaction. I hope this isn’t the case but I’m disputing the charge regardless and will be charged the amount that I know I signed for on...

Just a brief follow-up, I continue to visit L1 massage and each time I am impressed with the genuine kindness and courtesy I receive with each visit. As far as booking an appointment, Ms. Rachel gets back you promptly and is so very polite via text. The spa remains clean and immaculate and you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. My massage therapist continues to be Ms, Amy and she is absolutely the best! I always leave in a much better physical and mental state of mind. I find this very rewarding since I live a very active lifestyle. If you haven't visited this hidden gem please do so. Very Highly recommend.

L1 massage provided me an excellent massage experience. The interior rooms are Immaculate and The entire facility is very well maintained. it has a very upscale feel without an expensive price. I found The communication and response from the owner Grace to be very much on time and very considerate when you need to book and reserve a time. My massage therapist Ms. Amy provided for me an excellent experience and It was very easy to communicate to her my trouble spots and she was able to provide a wonderful experience. Hands down, this is the best massage place in the Katy area! This place is small, nothing fancy, but it offers great massages, and you get a lot more bang for your buck; what more could one ask for if you want to get massages regularly? Also, this place offers more than foot massages, so don't be deceived by their shop name. That said, I walked in for a full-body deep-tissue massage, and it was probably the best massage I've ever had in the Katy area!

From my personal experiences, I went to a lot of Thai massage or Trigger Point massage places around Katy, but they often leave me with additional pains; I guess those styles are just not for me. my stiff neck, shoulder, and back pains that had been bothering me for a while were immediately relieved.
