I started going to the Lifetime salon and spa not too long ago for massages with Preet (my wife has been doing her massages, haircut and waxing there for over 6 years). I went a total of 4X’s. From day one I saw that there is a strong sales culture. Preet was trying to sell me creams, spa services for me & my wife and the use of the club (we are not members). The 1st 2X’s that I went for a massage it was ok (I kept avoiding the sales speech & respectfully declining), on the 3rd time, half way through my massage, I told Preet that I that I did not want to buy anything else & that I just wanted to get my massage & relax there that was all. After I said that I saw that the massage session turned into a deep massage session & she went harder, so much that I had to tell her that it was a little painful & to please tone it down a little. This week I went for my 4th massage session & Preet was more quiet than usual & asked me how did I want my massage, hard or medium & I told her “medium, I just want to relax”. Well, that was all but relaxing, the massage started normal & kept escalating to the point where Preet was digging her elbows in my back, as the intensity of the massage was escalating I was thinking, should I stand up & leave? Until I felt pressure with her elbow against the boney part of the shoulder blade (she was trying to deep massage bone)! At that point I said “OWW!” And she said “sorry” & eased up a little. Thanks God that we were almost at the end of the massage. It felt like I was tortured for 1 hour. When I was leaving Preet had the audacity to tell me that despite that I told her that I wanted a massage to relax with medium intensity she thanked me for letting her go deeper into my back & told me “You needed it” LOL. I told her that it was painful as I was leaving walking crooked. I paid for my massage in full $140 & when they asked me if I wanted to leave a tip, I said “Not today”. After that, I went home & told my wife what happened. She suggested to talk to Felicia since she is the manager & her hair dresser for over 4 years. We called & left a message for Felicia to call us back which she did. Felicia asked me what happened & I told her the full story, Felicia apologized & told me that she was going to have a conversation with Preet & immediately offered me other massage professionals that she has on staff at Lifetime (in order to keep me & my wife as paying clients) & I respectfully declined. Felicia called us back the next day to follow up & told us that she talked to Preet & that took this as a coaching opportunity & told me that Preet felt sorry & that Preet was offering me 25% off for a massage with her again to get me back & to make it up. While I was trying to find the nicest way possible to tell Felicia that I am passing on the “generous” offer & that I am not going back (they lost me as a client), Felicia cut me off abruptly & told me that she already heard what I had to say about my experience the day before & that we didn’t need to go there anymore, the phone call was just to relay Preet’s offer. At that point I also thanked her abruptly for calling back & we both hung up (there was no blatant disrespect from any party, just a way to finish a conversation with not good energy & not he best tone). I guess since I wasn’t a client anymore there was no need to spent more time on “unnecessary” customer service. All I can say is that as a family though (including my wife & daughter) we have spend tens of thousands of dollars on that place over the years & we are leaving with a coaching opportunity for the Lifetime spa & their leadership. When you lose a client for an incident that was clearly mishandled by the staff & the client tells you, “thank you but I am not going back”…you just say… “I am sorry to see you go Mr. / Mrs... If you change your mind, please do not hesitate to call us back that we will be waiting for you right here to welcome you back with open arms”:). At the end, I felt like I was just a number & it was all about the money & they certainly did not have the big...
Read moreLet me start by saying I don't normally write reviews. Having said that, I'll walk through my experience at LifeSpa. I booked a full body massage with Preet. I'm a very large man so I need a masseuse that is strong and can work out the kinks from stressful work weeks. I arrived early and was offered options of tea or water infused with cucumbers and lemons. This was presented on a tray along with a mint. I chose the water and ate the mint - I felt very refreshed while I waited. The manager Felicia was very kind and welcoming and I knew I'd have a great experience. Once i was welcomed into the backrooms where massage and aesthetician services are provided, Preet asked me what my concerns and pain points were. She was very knowledgeable and suggested a CBD oil in addition to the service I was getting to ensure I maximized my experience. The room was very clean and serene and provided a perfect place to get my massage. The music was peaceful and the lights were dimmed. During the massage, Preet reminded me to breathe deeply and exhale strongly - things I don't remember to do normally. She spent the right amount of time on each of the problem areas and leveraged body position and strength to remove the tightness in key areas. She always ensured I was receiving the right level of tension by asking me along the way if she needed to be stronger, lighter, or the same level. The massage was very professional and I felt that she cared to alleviate the problems that would lead to muscle tension. After we were done, I was again offered the same refreshments from before. I drank the green tea afterwards while seated here to write this review. I will be rebooking here due to the top notch service I received. As a reminder to people, you DO NOT need to be a member to utilize the services at LifeSpa. In fact, I was told that I could not only use the gym, but if I had small children, daycare would be provided at the child care center. This is the level of professionalism and luxury I expect from a place like LifeSpa. I value great experiences and figured it's worthwhile to share them with others who may be on the fence about where they spend their...
Read moreO MY GOODNESS! I was absolutely blown away with my experience at Lifespa Cinco Ranch!!! I was referred by my daughter who had come in for a facial previously. I'm not a member of lifetime but you can still come in to use the spa and get free access to the gym area when you visit which is really nice.
I was greeted by the friendliest receptionist, Alice, and the nicest manager, Felicia, who I later saw doing hair. Both ladies left a genuinely good impression. The feel of the place was polished and homey.
I was given the option of flavored water and escorted to a zen area to get settled. I had both a facial (Kevin) and a massage (Preet)
Kevin treated my skin with amazing care! He is soft spoken and oh so nice. He gave me tips for my combination skin. I think I'll do the microdermabrasion next time. He was awesome!
Next, I put on my robe and slippers and was escorted to my massage room. OMG! My massage therapist Preet must've been about 5 foot 2 but her strength is well beyond her size. I have never had a breath/meditative massage. Midway through she asked if I wanted to upgrade and extend my service. YES please- if I could have stayed on both their tables all day I would have! Seriously- she has a gift!
When I was done I was given green citrus tea (loved the options) and a soft peppermint.
I walked away with a charcoal masque and body oil from their organic lines and made appointments to come back in a few weeks.
This place has it all with the best perks and people. Truly pleased...I've found my place. 10 out of freakin 10!...
