Perfect place to start progressive birthday celebrations for a family member. And they cater for those of us who have allergies to dairy or gluten. Pleasant news to our ears. The man of the house was thrilled who could take his whole fam there! 🎉👍🏽
Okay! For starters, Sweet Paris has a lovely clean and fresh look.. quite French and the French music .. sets the mood for the experience of crepes, cafe and company! 👌🏽👌🏽The crepes were even and cooked to perfection. Both the regular recipe and the vegan option.
Where do we start? Being new to the whole Sweet Paris adventure, it was not long before a team member explain how things work. Give them an A for hospitality. Informed of the crepe of the month .. my ears perked up when they mentioned pesto, grilled chicken, artichokes.. quickly asked if this could be done in a vegan option because of my allergies … let me tell you this- I want more of the same!!! It was warm, super tasty, herby and packed! The green tea latte with oatmilk did not disappoint. I’ll come back for that one again, for sure. Birthday member got a crunchy chocolate Oreo crepe and satisfied the choc pangs someone as having 😉😋 One of us had the Berry Agave Vegan crepe .. all that furry sweetness from the fresh fruits and there was a lot of fruit in the crepe and drizzled with just the right amount of agave nectar. The Dulce De Leche was a huge hit - filled with fresh gently ripe bananas and fresh strawberries and that sweet caramel topping . The cafe latte paired perfectly with this crepe.
The rebel of the day switched things up and got the Pesto Ham and Gruyère panini and every bite led to another of the same melted deliciousness.
Manager of the morning was attentive and friendly. Checked on her guests. Recommend when they open to get a good feel of the place and take it all in.
For the very special days and occasions and a trip to France on a budget… oui! Oui! C’est...
Read moreI love seeking out new dining experiences. I’m not a creature of habit- I prefer things that are fresh and new, and I like to vary the type of food I consume. When crepes are the food I am craving, the first place I think of is Sweet Paris café in Katy’s La Centerra.
This is a small to medium sized restaurant with an interior that can seat larger groups, families, and couples. They have outdoor seating, too, great for when the weather cooperates. Food is ordered cafeteria style. You go to the counter, place your order and pay, then take a number back to your seat. They will bring your food order to you when ready.
Crepes are the specialty at Sweet Paris. They serve sweet dessert style crepes, breakfast crepes, and savory crepes, which are stuffed with meat, cheese, and veggies. I usually dine here either for lunch/ dinner, or for dessert. My appetite isn’t usually hearty enough to order both a sweet crepe and a savory crepe, so I tend to alternate. If you don’t want a crepe, don’t worry- they also serve waffles, eggs, omelets, and other options for breakfast, which is served all day.
The crepes served at Sweet Paris are quite good and, assuming you order just one, they leave you feeling satisfied and not stuffed. I usually go for one of the chicken crepes or the philly cheesesteak when I order one of the savory crepes. On the sweet side, I like the apple cinnamon and the s’mores crepe. The food is fresh and tasty and it matches well with the beverages, which consist of the usual soft drinks/iced tea, plus assorted wines, wine- based drinks, mimosas, and a handful of beers.
It's great to have variety when you dine out. Sweet Paris in Katy’s La Centerra is a good choice when you crave crepes and nothing else will do. The food is good, the service is friendly, and it makes a great stopover for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert the next time you shop in...
Read moreI’ve been coming here pretty much since it first opened and have had many experiences with this restaurant. First of all, the food hasn’t changed since when it first opened—it’s still so so good to this day and it’s one of my favorite places to eat. My favorite savory crepe has always been the Chicken Carbonara (like it was the only thing I ate), and my favorite sweet crepe has been the Nutella one with bananas. But recently I’ve been trying different items off the menu like the Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Alfredo, Dulce de Leche, Chicken Enchilada, and The Vegan (plus more I plan to try) and I haven’t disliked any of them. They’re just all so good. As for their coffee, paninis, and waffles, I have no opinion since I have not gave them a try, but I’ve heard from others that they are also good (no shock there). Secondly, the service has always been good in a way where they work quickly (especially during rush hour) but efficiently and, from my experience. without any error. Bathrooms are (usually) well-maintained, and they are single-use. Thirdly, the atmosphere is only good when it’s not crowded (which is a rare sight to see nowadays), because otherwise it’s really hectic. But despite this, the employees work fast and get you your food as quickly as possible. The only thing that I’ve found annoying is how bad it gets when there is so many people that the line extends around the restaurant AND outside. Makes it hard to have an enjoyable meal when there’s like a thousand people around you all having conversations. This and the chairs (they’re really loud). But all in all, I still come to this place because I have always and will forever love the food. There’s a reason why so many...
