SUPERCUTS — Local services in Katy

This is one of those situations where the cheap service tends to cost you more than the expensive one. I swear it felt i was getting my hair cut at a family member’s place. And i don’t mean that in a good way. Her station had a pair of clippers and a pair of scissors, nothing else. Honestly for Supercuts to be a national franchise i thought they had a standard quality that they offered. I was wrong. I got the “supercut” and the lady gave me the feeling like she doesn’t cut a lot of men’s hair. She didn’t do any of the things that you get when you get your hair cut, she didn’t put water in my hair to make it softer she just went dry and dirty with a pair of clippers that felt like a tractor was running me over, i told her i wanned a fade from 0… that’s not what she did. I told her that i wanted her to cut half of my hair length on top… she didn’t do that. At the end i tried to let here know without being rude or awkward that i told her to cut about half of my length on top and she said “yes yes thats what i did” and honestly even thought she didn’t, i just wanted to leave. The supercut is $23 and it includes a “warm towel refresher” which i dont know what that is but she didn’t do that either. At the end she left my hair wet, didnt blow dry it, didnt comb it, style it, no products were used. This was the most minimal, halfassed haircut i’ve ever had and honestly i felt i was better before i went in that after i left. Sigh....I wish I could say it was a good experience but can't. First off the manager he is very very rude. I was shocked that a man of color was looking at a woman of color as if she didn't belong. I was told that Rosie was the only one that can cut my hair so I came back. When I came back I was told she was on vacation it is my birthday so I needed a quick haircut. I asked the young lady was she sure that she can cut my hair type she said yes I asked 3 times. Poor thing she tried her best but she was very intimidated by ethnic hair. The chop was horrible I ended up having to go to another salon to fix it. Although my husband said I shouldn't have paid and walked out I'm not that type of person. I wish this location understood that it has ethnic customers and should cater to their community. And that manager you need to be ashamed of yourself. You literally lied and told the girl she had a phone call and as soon as she came back she said she's gonna hurry up and finish because there's liabilities you need to be fired. I saw an earlier review that said they are racist in there I won't go as far as to say they are racist but I will say if you have ethnic hair do not go to that salon because they are trash and cannot help you, I kinda wish I would have waited for Rosie she has trimmed my hair more than one occasion and even cut a Bob with no problem rosie's probably the best stylist that they have there. It has taken me almost 2 weeks to write this review. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in after work to get a hair cut. I didn’t want bangs, layers or anything just a simple few inches to cut the dead ends. Things seemed a little off when the lady was cutting the right side of my hair but I trusted the process. At this time the right side of my hair is about shoulder length. When she gets to the left side she takes a huge chunk at the front of my hair and cuts it above my chin which is 3/4 inches shorter than my right side.

She looked at me like I was crazy when I pointed out the error. She then proceeds to ask a gentlemen in there for help. He comes over and looks at my hair and tells her to call the manager on the phone. She comes back and says the manager isn’t going to do anything. The gentleman in there even says “did you tell her how bad it is”

Mistakes happen obviously the last thing someone wants is their hair to be ruined. But for me it is the nonchalant attitude about it from everyone. From the lady that cut my hair to the gentleman that walked over and basically gave off better you than me attitude and lastly the manager for not even calling to ask about my experience, offer to try to fix it or anything.

I will never go back here or refer...
